only Galaxy note have better display then SGS2, but only display beside its size is not comfortable to use. so till this time only SGS2 is the Winner.
Anyone wanting to save some extra battery life??? well...simply just download Easy Battery Saver from the market...it actually works.
"Gingerbread software is very stable and has great performance, so it’s not a bad idea to stay on this platform if your top priority is extreme stability."
"Another effect of the hardware acceleration is that it can make the battery drain faster in some cases. An example of this is video playback, where the hardware acceleration requires every video frame to be run through the GPU, thus making the system use more power than it would have without HW acceleration.
As a developer, you should therefore evaluate if HW acceleration is required or not, as it comes with a cost in terms of RAM usage, start-up time and possibly even battery duration which can have negative effects on the user experience." "Another change in ICS compared to Gingerbread is that Google has moved a lot of the SQL handling from the native to the Java layer. In our internal studies, we have seen that read and write operations to the SQL database takes longer time, which slows down the apps. Many applications perform a lot of SQL operations when started, which greatly impacts the start-up time.
According to good practice, database operations or http requests should not be performed in the main thread. However, we know that there are quite a few applications that perform these kinds of operations directly in the main thread, which might cause them to hold up other operations. Also, when reading feedback on ICS software out on the market now, we’ve seen comments about people having problems with some applications and games."
merelogic, 01 Apr 2012After reading so much about this phone I finally went and bought it. To tell you the truth it'... moreAre you using any cover or back cover ? If yes remove it and use phone and check without anything.
ithehappy, 01 Apr 2012Quite easily.Yes. But you have to change the csc of your phone. Otherwise wherever in the world, you will connect it to kies, it will show you Egypt csc and it will show Egypt last firmware.
I purchased gs2 a month ago and so far everything is fine except this dead pixel i notice...is it cover by the samsung warranty service?
Sam, 31 Mar 2012Hi,
Can anybody please let us know when is the s2 in India getting the ICS update?Officially it's unknown. Samsung India is crap as always you know.
But go to XDA dude, there is a rumor that XXLPQ ROM with DDLP8 Modem and LP7 CSC is an Indian ICS release, it's just not available in Kies yet.
I am using that ROM for two weeks now and can't say i am disappointed. So go, grab it. Look out for the person Intratech and look at his thread of ROM's.
Tabassum, 31 Mar 2012Does it means that s2 has sharper display then s???? Of course, 3 vs 1 pixel.
Abd Badwan, 31 Mar 2012Hello , I lost my Market Icon yesterday don't know how , can anyone tell me how to get it back... moreA system application can not be deleted. You might have removed the icon somehow from desktop, but it will stay there under App Drawer.
However, if you're rooted, then you can delete any system app, with the help of apps like, Titanium Backup and others.

Abd Badwan, 31 Mar 2012Hello , I lost my Market Icon yesterday don't know how , can anyone tell me how to get it back... moreyou have been upgraded to GooglePlay. Check for that instead in your application list.
After reading so much about this phone I finally went and bought it. To tell you the truth it's a very good phone. However, there's this problem in its voice. The person on the other side says that my voice sounds like i'm in a tunnel or a box. So I googled and found out that many sgs 2 users are facing the same problem. So as it turns out the problem seems to be very trivial. There are two mics in the phone, the mic that you speak into and the mic that's used for noise cancellation. And then there's the speaker that you rest your ear to. Anyway, the problem is that during the assembling of this phone the mics and the speaker was not placed in the rubber casing properly so there's voice leak everywhere in the phone and the noise cancellation software sort of gets confused which noise to filter so it messes everything. There are two ways to deal with this. One is to turn of the noise cancellation option during call through the option button. The other is to open the phone and place the mics and speaker properly into their rubber sleeves. Here's a post that details the way to do this forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441510&page=1
