The Nexus confirms the various problems with the S2.
Strange how things get fixed, now.

A user on the xda-developers forum posted images of his friend’s Samsung... moreOne faulty battery! Any battery on any phone, even those from Apple and Nokia, can have this very rare problem/defect!
Funny how this happend immediately after an iPhone 4 spontaneously combusted aboard flight in Australia! The iPhone 4 combustion had many witnesses, but the "explosion" had no witnesses at all and could be just a story made up by an Apple-fan!

It heats a lot even if you're just trying to get a GPS fi... moreS2 does NOT heat up more than any other smartphone today! I actually streamed HD Flash 11 movies for 4 hours and 26 minutes, using the official 2000 mAh battery made by Samsung for S2, and my S2 did not even get warm at all!
My S2 does definetly not have any "yellow tiniting" problem at all, and the pink spot "problem" is fixed when updating the firmware!
To your attention:
A user on the xda-developers forum posted images of his friend’s Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, which supposedly exploded in the man’s pocket. “He said he heard a sound, [felt] a burning sensation on his leg and as he pulled this piece of junk out of his pocket he smelled burning,” the forum user wrote. “There was smoke coming out of his pocket and out of the phone.” It does not appear that the man was injured by the smoldering smartphone. Additional images of the fried Galaxy S II Skyrocket follow below.
Does this phone heat? It sure does!
It heats a lot even if you're just trying to get a GPS fix or establishing a WiFi connection (both take time and are far from perfect).
If it wasn't for the "Yellow tinting" problem, Samsung wouldn't have abandoned Amoled "PLUS" screens which have proved, beyond reasonable doubt, to have this problem.
It Samsung didn't recognise the "Pink Spot" problem in this camera it wouldn't have 'reversed' into 5MPX in their new flagship, the Nexus. Samsung claims it is meant to avoid chromatic aberrations, which means they recognise the problem with the S2, they simply don't want to assume it to avoid having thousands of phones returned.
All these companies wish to avoid is having to refund unsatisfied costumers even when the latter are absolutely... RIGHT.
The S2 has many faults and bugs and people are forced to keep their phones because of long term contracts.
It's that simple, really.
If I could, I'd get my money back and I'd buy a different phone.
But large manufacturers protect themselves (remember the Iphone's antenna?) and deny all malfunctions and problems.
Besides, fanboys keep on denying reality and try to convince themselves their money was well spent and they haven't been fooled by a clever marketing campaign.
On top of that, you get companies' agents and employees who create blogs and take part in forums - under the cover of anonimity - to keep on praising their bosses and the company/brand they work for.
Actually, it's an old trick.
They want you to come back for more and they'll do anything to convince you there's no yellowish screen,no pink spot or low WiFi reception.
But, at the end of the day, when you use your phone you'll know your eyes aren't deceiving you.
It's simply there, but they won't let you change it.
You're stuck with a faulty phone...
divu, 09 Dec 2011Pls tell me some good applications and games to download free from market...or tell some other... moreWell for starters one of the best things is search and discover. Also weither you are rooted or not. Also what interests you.
I know Inotia three for a free game is well done. Aliens is very addictive. Find a music player that suites you. Any messaging and social networking you use. The Galaxy is amazing for emulators. A custom launcher.
back up programs. office type apps. A browser that bests suites your interest. An anitvirus. Avast finally has their beta out and I'm quite happy so far.
Android assistant is a great task manger/system info viewer/ cache cleaner/ multi install, or uninstaller.
Benchmarks if you like those. Antutu, quadrant. Qr code scanner.
wifi key recovery saves the passwords of every locked wifi you have been on.
The new fb app has finally got some great improvement though it is still unstable to many phones. Though great with Galaxy so far.
Pls tell me some good applications and games to download free from market...or tell some other site....

Sometimes under heavy network load here in UK you have to go down to 2g to get data downloads..The 3g/HSDPA signal is full blast but the heavy load means you get better speed on 2g ironically..
My phones "since hsdpa appeared" have been odd,,first it connects to 3g and then goes to H or 3.5g depending on model..Hsdpa also comes in purges and always has done.ie it starts downloading data and the bar going across indicating download can go fast then slow then fast i never get a constant data stream ever..
i have put this post just to see if others had the same but also someone was complaining about data speed downloads..In a good day when downloads are nippy the sgs2 is pretty good BUT and even tho i hate to say this its not as consistantly good as iphone..I do apologise for mentioning iphone cause i got rid of mine it was boring and too restrictive..
I get pretty good battery life to be honest and had enuf mobiles over the years and done enuf tests..These are the worst performers ,,,
The Moto V3x in 3g mode with screen on full brightness watching cartoon network was dead in 47 minutes.
The Samsung D600 played mp3 for 3hrs 50 minutes and battery was dead..
Nokia n80 I had to charge 3 times a day but worst was Moto A83o in 2004 which not even doing anything was dead after 5 hrs..
