But I have been using this phone for three months already and the sound is clearer and louder than my previous Nokia phones (a total of 10 Nokia phones passed in my hands). I also used SonyEricsson phones.
Wherein this is only my second Samsung phone. I don't have problem with it and didn't miss any call.
At first yes I found the volume is low, then I played with the equalizer settings and get a loud and clear volume.
Now I am enjoying it to the fullest!
I suggest in a noisy country, better use a headset rather than the loud speaker to avoid contributing to noise polution. Love nature, refrain from noise polution...
AnonD-20960, 30 Oct 2011now my sweet heart SGS2 with android 2.3.5 . . its good . . not so many improved features . . ... moreSuggesting APPS here will mess this page. Search Market for that. Good or useful apps will be said of course.
Go Launcher is great. Superb customistaion options, that's free, I also am using Go Switch, Go Clock widget, love them. It's actually hard to go back to TW after using Go.
1- I also love Widget Locker lockscreen. The New version 2.2.1 is brilliant. It's paid app though, still VFM.
2- For Sports you could use Score Mobile.
3- Advanced users, who knows how to UV CPU should use 'Set CPU'. It's a fantastic app.
4- Better Battery Stats is a must to see which processes and apps are causing Wakelocks and draining juice.
5- Root Explorer is also a must.
6- Same goes for Titanium Backup Pro, to freeze, Uninstall or take a full backup of your device.
7- Tapatalk. A common forum community app, everyone knows it I guess.
The list will go on and on...
AnonD-22474, 30 Oct 2011Thanks dude.bt can u please tell me how to upgrade the firmware?m new to android.thanksDepends on your region, what's your current firmware. Connect your phone to Kies, if an upgrade is available then it will show.
Besides, give some reading to XDA threads, people here, or some of them are kids and will only mislead you. So better give your time to XDA rather than coming here and waste your time by reading some nonsense.
only problem that i having now is a hideous software called kies...samsung is stupid for keeping this since SG1.

You can try with GoSmsPro or with the Handcent SMS App.These apps are very cool ones.Try it out.
AnonD-18025, 29 Oct 20111. Bed and sofa are soft so there's no problem if you put it front facing down. 2. Even you ... moreIn my country there will be more noise while going in roads. When compared with the mobile phones which is launched in my country this one has very low volume..Moreover i too know that we can hear more sound if we keep the phone with the front facing down. But still if the speakers are placed on the sides then there is no need to do all kinda stuffs which u told na. My brother is using Nokia 5800 Express music which is a very old phone and it doesnt have this many features as this S2 has.But still it rocks in maximum volume. The same ringtone is played much louder in 5800 than in S2. You will feel the same with Sony Xperia Arc. Check it out dude.
Guys may i ask if the difference of super amoled and super amoled plus that big? I mean is it really noticeable with the naked eyes???
Plastic grip->if you buy a smartphone with a large display, you gonna end up buying a rubber case anyway.
UI->Don't know what's a problem. Rumorous other UIs that are claimed to be better then TouchWiz 4.0 aren't better than this.
resolution->800x480 is preferable since there aren't many apps and pics for qHD resolution anyway...
ithehappy, 29 Oct 2011Just update your firmware dude. KF3 and later doesn't have this problem. Thanks dude.bt can u please tell me how to upgrade the firmware?m new to android.thanks

I need some help:
1. how to transfer messages from nokia... moreIt depends on the option of your N8 to transfer the messages in it.
SGS2 has the option to transfer its messages via bluetooth to other devices.
I use MAXTHON and Dolphin browser, both have exit option.

recently today i tried to sms to my office grp bt it says only 10 contact can be select at a time which is not done. coz then i need a lot of time and then what is the meaning of creating a grp. plz give a solution how to send a sms to a grp at a time without thing of number 10
I have the white one got it 2 days ago. Feels & performs amazing. White one looks & feels better than black with better plastics too. I also got the Samsung Official Extended battery pack which is 2000mAh & only adds 1.5 mm more to it's depth. Also it recesses the camera lens more as to protect it. It's sold on Mobile Fun website.
I've had the phone for a few days now...awesome, awesome phone.
Though I have one gripe about it. Seems quite a number of people are experiencing it, but no solution (hoping to find a solution here).
The device seems to incur a lot of data traffic, even when all apps are closed. I've also disabled syncing in the background and auto sync features.
Basically, there's still network traffic when the phone is completely idle.
Seems the only way to prevent the above mentioned is to disable the "packet data" feature, which prevents one from accessing the internet, until the feature is enabled.
Anyone having the same problems? Anyone know if there is an app or something causing this and if there's a solution? Or if its a bug on the phone itself?
Thanks in advance.
