We don't have the same preferences, what you like doesn't have to be the same with what others like and vice versa.

how can i use my radio here in the phils.? the region says eurore & usa only to my SG S2?
AnonD-6966, 12 Sep 2011Pls tell me if it has fm radio in it..nd it supports hdmi tv out?? I hv heard f dis phn gettin... moreYes it does has an FM radio. It also supports HDMI TV out but uses a mini HDMI cable. But I have been looking for that mini HDMI cable in the market and have not found any. Maybe later it will populate the stores.
About the heating, it depends on the usage and where you put the unit. As I experienced when I put it on top of the cushioned bed or inside my back pack it gets hot. But if I put it on top of a wooden table or any flat surface in an open area, no heat is dissipated.

Camera is just an option for a mobile phone.
And you also have the option to test the unit to your freferences before buying it. Nobody is forcing you to buy it, it is your decision.
Don't expect too much to get a frustration in return.
You are at the top again on the current rankings by GSM Arena.
You are number 1! The best among the rest...
zordick, 12 Sep 2011is this phone support wireless headset. Yes it does!
As a matter of fact, I was surprised when I was able to use the SonyEricsson HBH-DS980 stereo bluetoth headset listening to my favorite music and FM radio stations with this phone.
What more the sound is really loud and fantastic.
During a call, the SonyEricsson HBH-DS980 stereo bluetooth headset connected to my SGS2 works excellent with clear and loud voice received from the other end.
Ever since this phone was released it has remained #1 rated & daily interest only drops for a few days when a new phone comes out, then it's back on top again, love it love it love it :-)
AnonD-21867, 12 Sep 2011Disappointing. After using the original galaxy s, I was expecting so much more. Don't get me w... moreI had the opportunity to review both phones S1 and S2 and personally like the S1 especially after it was upgraded to GB 2.3.4. However, selection really depends to one taste and liking. I am not a heavy graphics/games user so even and I9003 will be fine for me. But young gamers prefers rich color textures and powerful processor and definitely S2 has the edge over S1. But one thing for sure, S1 had proven its durability and reliability over a year in the market. But you know S2 had performed remarkable sales even outdoing S1 in this category.
Quoted "Am a display, image and camera quality guy those are at the top of my list of priority when getting a phone and the s2 doesn't score good on any of them"
I'm a visual guy, same as you, but my opinion is just the opposite of yours, no offense. I used to do researches on TV, in short the current SuperAMOLEDplus is the best of all display, this is no doubt, however, individuals might not like the way it is. SuperAMOLEDplus basically have both the Pros of PLasma tech(near infinity/infinity blacks) and LCD tech(vivd/saturate colors), minus the cons of plasma(low brightness) and lcd tech(low black-levels). Personally, to me, I have seen every kinds of display on the market, and I think SuperAMOLED is way better than other displays(of course diff ppl have diff preferences).
[deleted post]hey ur handset might be faulty.. this doesnt happen with everyone. get ur piece replaced....
Symbian is not as good as Android.
Android has got many options that's the main strength of the OS..its a complete OS.
Android full flash support, adobe air, many browser options, gesture support in browser(dolphin hd),many keyboard alternatives(n8 has just got portrait qwerty and that too doesnt even supports swype),Android has offline maps, usb otg(yes learn b4 you come here),live wallpaper, many custom home replacements or launcher, widgets(very customizable-position,size,name etc),thousands of apps and games(you n8 guys can't even imagine what apps can do because you only have basic apps-few days ago on an advertisement Nokia said 3500 apps for e7..so its official), internet pass through (though only htc Android has that feature..you can use computers internet on your phone by a USB cable), super displays (wvga to qhd)super fast processors for lag free user experience (ever heard of dual cores and nvidea tegra gpu?), Samsung is even coming up with galaxy note..you can actually write or draw anything on that monstrous super phone!
I was actually comparing symbian with Android.
Nokia knew that symbian 3 will not impress users so they put some new hardware based features like fm transmitter,USB otg etc(free maps were there before even they comes free with cheap Symbian phones)
Camera is the only thing that was extraordinary..but still doesn't capture video in full hd(1080 p)
So symbian/n8 users don't come here to show your frustration..

HTC Legend having a less ppi compared to SII
but overall i am very much satisfied with salsa rom
I have had my S2 for around 2 months now, and all I can say is I love the device. I was using the iPhone 3G, then 3GS before moving to android, so I have sampled both operating systems and cannot think of a single reason to go back to Apple. After my 3GS I moved to the Wildfire, and immediately fell in love with Android. I think that the usability and overall feel of the OS is fantastic. As with all phones there are things that aren’t fantastic, for example the battery life. But what smart phone can you expect to last more that a day with regular usage? Another is the battery overheating when playing on games and such. The S2 does get quite hot, with all the rear panel heating up, also the screen. I was surprised at the amount of battery using games does take, for example I play on a game called my country quite regularly, and even when plugged in it uses battery, I thought that the charger would just keep the charge level constant, or at least charge slowly, but if played on for a while, the phone will die even whilst charging. I have noticed on GSM that you can buy larger batteries for the S2; does anyone out there have one of these? And does it make any noticeable difference?
I have also heard mixed opinions around ATK with this device. I know that the phone comes with its own built in task killer, but I still prefer ATK. I have been told that you don’t need to kill tasks running in the background, as the Android OS is designed to have them running in the background, and that killing them and restarting them actually uses more power than just leaving them running? Can anyone clarify this for me?
Finally, my original S2 was replaced as it had a green tinge when taking photos. My new device seemed fine when I swapped it, but after a few weeks I did notice that occasionally you can see a green tinge when taking photos. Does anyone else have this problem, or am I just really unlucky?
All in all I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone, and have done many times. I work in a phone shop and 9/10 customers who come in wanting the Apple iPhone 4, end up leaving with an S2 after I have demoed my phone and told them the advantages of this great device.
If anyone has any apps they recommend for this device, to help with battery life, or just to make the most out of the phone I would love to hear them. I have used Juice Defender Ultimate, but found no difference in battery life. I have also downloaded Samsungs UI, and just as quickly deleted it. I could not get to grips with it, and find the stock interface much more user friendly.
Guyz i just bought sgs2 its a great phone i am new user of android and samsung can anyone tell me how to minimiz youtube while playing on back cuz in symbian we can do that...... plzzz help i will be thankfull
Disappointing. After using the original galaxy s, I was expecting so much more. Don't get me wrong great software and os bt my faults lay on the display quality and camera quality was beyond my worst expectation. Everything looked just horrible, colors were overdone/ too vivid, low ppi didnt help either and I honestly just hated the display. When compared to it predecessor the galaxy s1 and the competitors flagship phone the iPhone 4 it falls way short. 217 ppi density doent look good at all plus the super amoled display with it's RGB matrix pixels didnt match up to my expectations at all. But if u don't care much for image quality or camera quality then it's a great phone and the spec. sheet would speak for itself. Great os and software as well as good built quality. Am a display, image and camera quality guy those are at the top of my list of priority when getting a phone and the s2 doesn't score good on any of them unless the plant to take all your photos with a external camera or other devise and transfer them and if the image quality doest affect you then its a good phone as I said earlier.
AnonD-21761, 11 Sep 2011OK...its always important to keep in mind that we all buy phones for deferent reasons. main R... moreExcellent opinion. I fully agree with you 1,000%. Love your phone and your phone will be always reliable. I have a Nokia 3210 (approximately 12 years old) and still works perfectly for calling and sms texting. When I bought it back then, it was called a very sophisticated phone. Now it is called by this generation of users as an antique and dumb phone.
