Any solution please??????
Having previously owned the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, there was no way i could resist acquiring the Galaxy S II especially after reading all the reviews about it on GSM Arena.
So i got the phone 3 days ago and i have been busy setting up all my stuff on it and downloading additional apps.
The phone did not disappoint in any way, however i am yet to fully experience the power and speed of the 1.2ghz processor, probably because of my phone carriers limitations.
But having said that its Galaxy S II for me anyday anytime.
i have this phone now for a week .. i like it alot , better than the Iphone 3 and 4 i owned before .. just one realy bad thing : Satelitte FIX !! man what a mess! i am fighting with different updates from andriod , and sat fix programs . also navigate software from Cygic is a real drama .

I can't decided between this Samsung Galaxy S-II and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.

But its definitely worth the money and many other owners think so too. I am loving my phone. I have made the comparison between HTC Sensation and SGS2(i eliminated iphone4 from my choices too) by researching online, reading reviews(the review at gsmarena is quite detailed and the phone is really as good as what they described. if you haven't read it, you really should) and watching online videos of these two phones before i made up my mind and chose SGS2. Personally, the design of the SGS2 has already won me over by a little. Have you read up the features of the phone from the official website? If not, you can take a look here: http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxys2/html/feature.html
Its pretty awesome.
You can also search for "Samsung galaxy s2 vs HTC sensation" videos on youtube and see the comparisons for yourself and see which do you prefer. It all boils down to your personal interest. Still in terms of battery life, web browsing performance, camera, video quality etc and other tests conducted at http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_sensation-review-605p4.php samsung is still at the upper hand.
About the heating problem, for my case, the phone only heats up when i am charging the phone or when i am doing intensive multi tasking (like play games, surfing, music, facebook, message all in one go). It gets the hottest during charging only, i would say. But the heat is really acceptable in my opinion. And many also says that their smartphones get heat up too. So its quite normal actually. I installed some gadgets from android to measure the battery temperature. It will never exceed 50(the critical temp), the highest it can go during charging is 40 deg. In Idle mode / when i m solely listenning to music its only 30 and the phone does not feel hot at all.
GALAXY S2 is an awesome mobile device. the only problem is it does not have enough apps and games to take the use of s2's GRAPHICS CHIP. developers are making games and apps just now. ANY WAY S2 is awesome. BUT i prefer my iphone 4 IS MUCH BETTER UNIQUE than the galaxy s2. APPLE ROCKS...!!!
Have been a die hard fan of Samsung and previously owned Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab. Simply love the weight and Amoled screen. Keypad is simply awesome compare to the other 2. This is my 3rd day using it the only sad thing is my battery didn't last, at most 15 hours max. I used it to download songs from market and sms and listening to my mp3 songs for max. 40 mins per day. Please share with me how can i have longer battery life. Thanks

I am very confused between the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation. Both have rave reviews on the internet but I have read about the heating problems with the Galaxy S2. Despite that do you think the phone is worth the money? Some people also told me about the i Phone 4 but that being a year old is not very appealing to me and besides Apple’s closed system doesn’t impress me. Any help from you would be much appreciated. Looking forward to your reply at your earliest convenience.
Someone should re-test "SAR" on S2, because I had the same problem with one of "Docs" roms for Galaxy S when I barely could hold the phone!
I was wondering .. Is there any diagnostics app for the Galaxy S II that checks the device's functions?
I'm thinking of something that you can run when you first buy the phone to make sure everything is OK.
Josie, 03 Jul 2011Thank you for the helpYou're welcome .. Glad I helped.
How is your experience so far?
One question .. Have you tried NoLED app? I couldn't install it as it keep saying "The requested item is not found"!
I have owned this gadget for 3 days already, and i am very happy with it! So far, theres not much of a problem. The phone is as good as what internet reviews say about it. The web browser performance(works very fast and smooth), camera(Provides lots of features for personal settings, quality of camera & HD Video recording is superb),and the audio quality of the phone are all great. It downloads stuffs from android market very fast and its very efficient. I like the fact that i can download multiple stuff all at one go, unlike in the Iphone whereby it will exit the market to install.
About the part whereby people say the battery gets heats up, i would have to agree, but to me personally, its not much of a problem as i feel that the heat is still acceptable. It just gets slightly hotter when its charging/when performing intensive tasks. But since most smartphones get hot too , so... I also like the messaging interface, its somewhat different from other android phones, and the keyboard is very nice to use, i hardly type any wrong words even without the T9 Predictions.
One reason why i chose this over the HTC sensation(besides its slower web browsing experience, "death grip" issues, shorter battery life, and how it lost to SGS2 in all the tests: http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_sensation-review-605p4.php) is simply because of its simple & nice design and how thin it is despite its huge screen of 4.3 inch with the superAmoled screen. I might be a little bit weird, but i like the fact that the back of the phone is made of Strong plastic instead of Metal. Its not fragile and i did accidentally dropped my phone, but it does not leave a scratch or whatsoever. i hate the fact that people say SGS2 is so lightweight that it feels like a toy/dummy phone, but please, the lightweight really pleases me! Feels so good on the hand :) its solid and yet light.
