This is my first samsung phone, and the best phone I have ever had. Blazing fast, great looking, useful. Its been 2 weeks, and no problems so far. Certainly better than my iPhone4.
m observing it from last 5 months.read all the opinions on it.seen lots of video. And decided to buy it.compare to others , this is far far better.
Will screen gonna deteriorate by time?

Fast, Heat was an issue on the first day i had it, but i havent had any problems since,
also i have been using it for 1 and a half hours and my FULL battery is now at 65%, my screen is 1 down from brightest, hopefully battery life can be prolonged other ways.
ALso Camera is VERY GOOD, latest updates for device fix all problems. SCREEN is Amazing. just a nice, fantastic device. would recommend
I've been using my SGII for about 2 weeks and here what I can say
- Battery usage : Not the best, my iphone 4 was better. Im at 65 % after a day of normal usage
- Yellow spot issue : After reading and looking at my phone, cant tell if there is any
- Heat issue : None
This is a really good phone, overall better than the iphone 4 I had.
No camera Hardware key ... such a shame !!! Stupid designers, otherwise nice, but not for me!
I will be 100% honest here. I have owned 4 different android devices: moto milestone, htc desire, desire HD and now the sgs2. I love this phone. It blows every other i've had out of.the water. The screen is gorgeous. No yellow spots for me. It is so snappy, responsive and smooth it is the same feeling you get when scrolling and zooming in and out on an iphone 4. The phone is amazingly thin and light. My battery lasts a day and a half and I use it a lot to browse and playing games here and there. The phone does get a bit warm when playing games for a while but it doesn't get hot or uncomfortable to hold. I took some pictures and recorded some 1080p video and shared it over my wireless lan to my ps3 and was really impressed with the quality. The images are clear and have good color and the video surprisingly smooth at 1080p. Gps locks instantly or in a few seconds. Browser plays HD flash like it's a joke; no stutter or frameskips.
After reading in this website I could hardly all the negative talk about this amazing phone. It is expensive but worth it if you want to experience a great phone.
I read some blog that its 4G enabled...is it so???
And some opinions here says that the SGS2 is heating up over continous longer period of use..,,is it???

galaxy s2 or iphone 4..

[deleted post]Cell would that be single cell? should I elaborate further.
Now unlike you I can read but in addition to that I can comprehend, and I do like to check facts before I commit
"Some even say, it's not that those units are faulty, it's like that on all Galaxy SII phones. Well, we rolled out our sleeves and went to check ours and report back.
"And indeed, upon a really, really close inspection, we noticed that the part of the display in question is slightly darker than the rest of the screen and has a slight yellow tint to it.
Anyway we wouldn’t call the display issue a deal-breaker and we don’t even think most people will notice it, but still – knowing that there’s a problem with that gorgeous screen of your smartphone can leave somewhat of a bad taste in your mouth."
sticky back PLASTIC posted @17:59 the first comment to the news item was @ 17:12 as Gsmarena stated in other forums
he quoted from a review which was prior.
you do understand the passage of time & me personally i just visit ONE forum
We have had a lot of quite frankly stupid comments, but we have found the source of 99% . Yours is another I class as such, and is evidenced in its brevity
Your name cell would that be photovoltaic as in solar cell. We are not receiving much from the sun cloud cover seasonal event anyway just a prolonged BAD SPELL.
photovoltaic which would explain the comments When the sun is not up you appear to be off is the explanation I am happy with.
With all due respect (just word I don't really mean them) if that's the sum total find the forum you phone is from and DAZZLE them with your opinions, for what they are worth
Could someone who own the phone please tell me, could the Continuous Auto-Focus be turned off for video taking? Please tell me if you have the phone, thanks in advance!
just now i read in gsmarena abt yellow spots on SGSII screen. is it true? is it so serious as to not to buy a phone? plz reply

Your complaints are general and not specific enough Here are 2 issues I can respond to from the Gsmaren review
Speakerphone test Voice, dB Pink noise/ Music, dB Ringing phone, dB Overall score
samsung I9100 Galaxy S II 70.0 66.6 75.7 Good
"The images captured with the 8MP camera of the Galaxy S II are very good – low noise, plenty of fine detail and the color and contrast are good too. Colors are a smidge oversaturated but that’s how we like them. Keep in mind that the camera has a wide-angle lens – our measurements suggest a focal length of about 30mm in 35mm equivalent"
I really don't know what people EXPECT the SGSII to do as a camera phone. The heat issue, can't comment
I don't think the problems are as serious as you make out.... I mean in comparison
