Anonymous, 28 Jan 2012So how? Without the G is the best?the first s2 to come out is model i9100 galaxy s2, this i9100G is one of the variants. the difference is less powerful cpu and gpu compared to the original. it's still clocked at 1.2 mhz, but people says it is less powerful.maybe in terms of benchmark. same goes for the gpu.
i dont know the actual difference, because i only own the G variant.but in some forum they say not much difference in term of usage. maybe in the most graphic heavy game can find the difference.
however it is proven that G version had longer battery and less heating compared to original, due to less powerful cpu.
anyway, many people own the original i9100, so modifications, custom firmwares were made for i9100. stuff made for i9100 is mostly not compatible with i9100G.

that is why many people feels cheated when buying I9100G, its almost same as buying another model such galaxy Y or galaxy R.

using this phone for a month already. my first android phone.really like the fast processing speed.
the customization is good, but too many things to be customized before it functions the way i like. it becomes a hassle. example network setting like 2g/3g need to be manually turned off from settings menu everytime changing place from home or office etc, because signal is variable. if dont do that, battery is drained real fast.
also why the need to root the phone when android is designed to function with customisable option?
and with latest update KL3 , rooting is a bit more difficult with this G version.

cant say this is a user friendly phone for average user like me.

My advise to evryone here. Actually dont take too serious about g and non-g stuff because both have its pros and cons. Think positively, though g version sometime stuck at 1008, but it got better 3d graphic, faster sd read time and longer battery life. Of course, it's also newer compare to g version as g version already replace non g at last october. So just take what u like. That's all.

najmulbappy, 24 Jan 2012Which one is good, best and better performance mobile..? Samsung I9100G Galaxy S II or Samsu... morei9100 is the better variant, but the i9100G is also good and doesn't over heat as easily as the i9100. I went with the i9100 non-G simply because it's the way the Galaxy S2 was meant to be. If you can find a i9100, I recommend you get that.

I've just tried out AnTuTu Benchmark app (after reading the comments regarding the CPU clock, which really concerned me as I've gotten I9100G from my mobile service provider (promo package)) :-V

The results returned as following:
[SD card option is set to "/sdcard/external_sd"]
: 1008 MHz

[SD card option is set to "/sdcard/"]
: 1200 MHz

So, right now I am not sure whether these results should be a concern, or giving us better understanding... hmmm
