how can i download the new latest firmaware for my I9192 as i suffer from signal loss
jose, 29 Oct 2013hi, can you tell me where can i find the update because i have the GT-I9190 and its giving me ... moreAs I understand, the firmware update was for i9192. The issue of 9192 was NOT weak reception or likewise, as some people think . It was a network restoration problem: once the signal is lost or comes to the dead spot region or network cell changes, the signal bar remains blank and will not come back by itself until we restart the phone or network. All the buyers were frustrated not being able to throw away this handsome phone which is excellent in all other ways, and not to live with it, when the phone function itself is interrupted! Almost all the complaints were from India where the released model was the duos. However Samsung acted at the right time with the update RESOLVING THE PROBLEM COMPLETELY.
Weak signal can be network/operator related? If you don't mind, can I know which country do you live?
khan, 30 Oct 2013hiii friends .iam planing to bye an s4 mini.can anyone tell the correct review about the devic... moreI am owner of I9195. If I tell you that I paied 300 EURO for new and unlock S4 mini, you think is the best offer for this moment. with a medium usage, the battery of phone lost around 50-60% in 12 hours. the storage space is not a problem because I add, for 15 EUR, a 16GB micro SDHC hight speed. the pictures are better than SII for example. at the same price you can buy SIII, to be honest much better than S4 mini, but I choosed S4 mini for smallest dimensions. for samples pictures you could find me on g+ as Tudor Donţu.

dvy, 30 Oct 2013Hi,
thinking of getting the dual sim version of this hand set. Can anyone tell me when editin... more I could select 'silent' as general ring tone. Unable find it for individual contact.
Can select 'beep once 'for individual contacts, both message alert and ring tone. (am I missing something?)
It will never make you lose
The cumulative rating of this phone is 3.5 stars or 6.7/10 (GSM Arena).
Two main reasons for lesser rating:
1. Released at very high price (28K), but it is 20K now - So value of money.
2. It had number of network issues, the latest firmware update resolves and it worked like charm.
Few more cons people are thinking but actually not:
1. 256 ppi pixel density - This is actually enough for a 4.3' screen
2. 8 GB internal memory (only 5 GB usable) - If u can afford 20 K for phone, then pay Rs. 500 more and you can buy a 16 GB card (For this you dont need to pay 100$ extra like APLLE does)
3. 8 MP camera - I am sure it wont let you down infront of your pals. It is more than enough.
4. 1.7 GHz DUAL CORE (Not QUAD or OCTA). Don't blindly get impressed by configuration. Realize your need. Extreme processors are not necessary unless you are extreme gamer.
1. It is too thin and slippery. It would've been better if a "tag hole" was provided.
2. It would've been supplied along with original flip cover and screen guard.
1. Size is perfect. Its not wider but longer (qHD), so pocket friendly.
2. It could take better pictures (clarity) than Xperia Z and HTC One. If u dont beleive me, checkout GSM Arena.
Guys, now-a-days all the phones with good specs are bigger in screen size and look awkward. This is really substitute for those who wants to handle a phone (not phablet).
Samsung should make a new model that supports Sony Xperia Z1S mini, with this specs:
1.Display.- CGG-3 - 4.3inch - 720 x 1280 pixels - (~341 ppi pixel density)
2.Memory.- 2Gb RAM
3.Chipset.- Snapdragon 800
4.Battery.- 2300mah or more
I believe this model is also suitable for many other people who like Samsung brand it but do not want smartphone with large dimensions, there will be still greater numbers successes with this model !!!!
thinking of getting the dual sim version of this hand set. Can anyone tell me when editing the contacts is there a silent option for sms tones and ring tones for individual contacts.
Thanks in advance

theENTER, 28 Oct 2013Thanks for reply..but im getting only 2-3 signal blocks while 3g is on.. only occasionally get... moreDifferent manufacturers us different settings for bars I would never worry about the difference..Apple just admitted they have been falsifying iphone for years over estimating signal strength when the iphone 4 fiasco appeared.
The only thoughts I have in general about signal strength is that the weaker the signal the more battery device will use.Folk will not accept thick phones anymore so we get given poor batterys..Increasing phone thickness improves grip, you can use bigger battery, you can employ better camera module and you can use a larger acoustic speaker box for better tonal quality..That great but will public accept thicker smartphones,NO, so the engineers have to do the best they can.In fact if it wasn't for the engineers we would have 20 minutes battery life.
