Samsung launched its Galaxy S4 Mini smartphone for Rs. 27,990 in India. However, it is only now that the company has started taking pre-orders for the device.

ANEES MISWAR, 14 Jul 2013Sony Xperia SP is far better than S4 Mini.
Better display, graphics, memory, battery life....... morewhy people will go for the s4 mini and not xperia sp:
the mini uses the super amoled screen with good pixel density while sp uses regular tft screen with poor color production and poor viewing angle.
although it uses 4.3" screen the mini is pocket friendly and very light in weight so it is more convenient to deal with .
the mini has more ram which means more running widgets and better multitasking.
the mini supports native 3g video calling
the mini has infra red port
samsung phones have better camera than sony phones.
the battery performance of the mini will be excellent because it has small screen and resolution ,and no need to mention that the mini battery is removable.
the loud speaker performance of xperia sp is below average.
the mini has the latest android version.
Just bought the i9195 for my wife. Could anyone please tell me where the "Haptic Feedback" feature is on this phone??? Please help guys!
Just bought this phone this morning and here are my initial impressions not in any particular order.
1. The design is identical to the S4 (I also have the S4 - octacores).
2. As fast and intuitive as the S4.
3. Very very comfortable in the palm and for the single-hand operation.
4. The screen is as bright and the S4.
5. The more I use it the more I like it better then the S4 mainly due to the size.
6. It is a bit larger then the iPhone 5, and lighter then the iPhone 5.
Does anyone know the differences between GT-I9195 and GT-I9195L models?
This baby's got a Corning Gorilla glass. Oh yeah...
Fingers crossed for a Wolfson DAC.
I'm a current owner of S3 Mini and I just ordered S4 Mini. I just cannot understand the arguments some people are using against this phone. They are comparing the specs to physically larger phones when the whole point is making a phone to people like me who don't want to stuff their pockets with 5" phones that are more prone to break. Moreover, it is completely understandable that Samsung brings the specs down as they do have to sell their larger phones as well. I do think they watered down the S3 Mini a bit too much, but I really think they listened to the criticism with the S4 Mini -- the specs aren't THAT low. In fact, when you read some of the reviews, you can see that it should have a fantastic camera, good battery life and a more than usable screen.
I did look at the Xperia P, the HTC One and even the up 'n' coming HTC One Mini. It's interesting how people are praising these phones while saying bad things about these Samsungs. What about the terrible viewing angles on the Xperia P that obviously affect usability? What about the lackluster cameras of Xperia P and One that even with the latest FW fixes are still, overall, behind Samsung cameras (although I do congratulate HTC for getting things done with the low light performance) according to most tests? I've read many forums and it's much easier to find people complaining about the battery life of Xperia P and One. Same goes for broken screens (and, in One's case, broken camera lenses). People are praising the looks of Xperia P and One, but are forgetting that the 'dull' plastic of Samsung makes their phones a bit more impact-resistant (the plastic can bend whereas metal cannot). As a Finnish person, I can also tell you that a magazine tested different phones in winter conditions, and even Nokia couldn't beat Samsung in being able to take the harsh coldness of the winter climate in Finland. Moreover, I've both read and seen that Samsung gets a GPS signal much quicker (and stronger) than a HTC One because of the 'dull' plastic structure.
I'm not saying Sony, HTC or even Nokia are bad. I most certainly might consider HTC One if I could live with the size. All I'm saying is that Samsung is making good phones (which is kind of hard to see here in GSM Arena as the Samsungs seem to get about a 6 on average in the voting results section whereas the Sonys and the HTCs are getting 7-9 on average), and while S4 Mini is a bit expensive, I'd like to see another phone with better performance, camera, expandability (in terms of memory), durability and even price (as e.g. iPhones are expensive).
Sony Xperia SP is far better than S4 Mini.
Better display, graphics, memory, battery life.... everything. Have a look on this:
