Samsung, are you serious? I mean what is this? I thought GS3 is going to be something, but it turnes out to be another plastic toy.. It's too big to be a phone. And I'm not even talking about design, which is WAY worse than GS2. I wouldnt buy it even if it was the only smartphone in the world..
These smartfones i am buying sim free are the same price i was paying in 2003..Maybe the only way to keep them at this price is to use plastic..I would rather have a plastic fone than a fragile dangerous glass fone 110%..I quite like the rubbery feel on the back of some Motorolas but then they are a fingerprint magnet..I think Nokia polycarbonate is best solution with hardened glass with oleophobic coating.I dont know if they can do Gorilla glass yet with oleophobic coating??
I have to laugh......I heard these same comments about the s2 build quality and look what happened once people got hold of them, myself included. I'll stick to my s2 because its a beast already and for the money the s3 doesnt do it for me. I don't mind the design or materials because 99% of people put a plastic or rubber case on there phones ( all my iphone 4s friends have) and what do i need a quadcore for, the dualcore of the s2 handles everything I have been able to throw at it so why upgrade. I'm no fanboy of any brand I just want the biggest bang for my buck....my 2 cents...peace out
2100mah battery is one of the great improvements besides other great things galaxy s3 has, 2100mah in "note" with sync and wifi enabled at night and heavy use in the day time used to give me24 hours with some 10% still remaining.
keeping in view a smaller screen than "note" and considering quad core as well, i think S3 will give us same amount of time with 2100mah battery.
Phone manufacturer need to invest on R&D for batteries as well, just making phone fancy and adding multiple features is of no use until there is some kind of power house baking up. one sees many blogs and even manufacturers recommending to swicth off this, disable that, why, just to add few more hours to phone battery, which is ridiculous, why one should disable features for which he has paid in full, isnt its than better to buy some basic phone instead of spending 100s of dollars.
heard that Apple is developing battery on hydrogen based which gives almost double the time than any lithium ion battery of same capacity

I will respect the CPU that Samsung use on the S3. It's the best in the market but for the rest the S3 doesn't impress me.
Samsung may sell a lot of this but this is not what I was waitting for.
They wanna compete iphone with cheap materials but they may be suprise that HTC, Sony, LG and Moto realese better than Samsung.
PS: I don't like the DESIGN and build quality so cheap for a nice phone.

Second, you realy find the desing from the GS3 better than Xperia S, you are blind or just Samsung fanboy if i read your post.
The only advance what the SG3 has over the Xperia S is the Quadcore CPU nothing more.
A Quadcore CPU vs Dualcores CPU is in OS not big different to see.
Puneet, 11 May 2012S3 -> Pentile Amoled = Super Amoled
S2 -> Pure RGB Amoled = Super Amoled Plus
S2 > S3Yes I got the GS2 it's a very good phone I got it on cash on 8ta, which I could get a Moto Razr but it exclusive only for vodacom. And Vodacom doesn't sell it on cash. I can get a phone on contrat my work doesn't able me to apply.
But I love my GS2 design speed and performance but the battery and the UI aren't my favorite. I did install something else more like HTC Sense.
S3 -> Pentile Amoled = Super Amoled
S2 -> Pure RGB Amoled = Super Amoled Plus
S2 > S3

Pentile piece of poop!!
S2 has pure RGB and they degrade the screen and put pentil on S3... morons
Appreciated if there was a independent hardware switch to operate camera.... Most of the android phone, i find this as a problem... Rectify plz..

Why the Samsung Galaxy S3 fails to
According to Knowyourmobile.com, HTC One X still the best smartphone in the market.
Why has the Galaxy S3 failed to live up to our
expectations? Outside Well, first and foremost, the most glaring problem is
one of build quality. With the Galaxy S2 a criticism
we shared with many other reviewers was that the
body-shell felt a bit plasticky. It wasn't too bad, but
noticeable enough to be slightly bothersome. We thought with the Galaxy S3 things could go one
of two ways, either we'd get a similarly average-
quality plastic which, like the Galaxy S2, would be
liveable with. Or, alternatively, Samsung would up
its game and offer a more premium feel plastic,
ceramic or a lightweight metal such as aluminium. We never imagined for a second that Samsung
would actually go with an even worse quality
plastic on the Galaxy S3, but that's exactly what it
did. It's an immediate turn-off in and of itself, but when
you consider the quality of materials on the iPhone
4S, HTC One X and One S, the Sony Xperia S and both
Nokia's Lumia 800 and Lumia 900, then the Galaxy
S3 is tailing very far behind. We've no doubt Apple's next iPhone, the iPhone 5,
which is supposedly set to arrive this year with a
curved aluminium or ceramic back panel, will also
feel ten times better in the hand. The Galaxy S3 feels like a toy and that's just not
going to cut it on a premium flagship handset.

I have now pre-ordered S3!
