my s3 shows imei is null/null, hence can not read my sim card. what can i do to fix this?

I had done the same mistake and battery would drain like crazy..even when RAM was cleared, applications closed - battery was draining like a laptop's battery.
After battery heating up - my usb port got short-circuit and had to get it replaced and got my software back to 4.2
Hi I bought Samasung galaxy note 3. Phone was heating. i retuned. they took 2-3 days and gave new phone now .Again i am facing same problem it's heating.

I have korean lte variant of s3. Updated to 4.3. My problem is of sms. Sometimes I'm unable to text msgs. Msg sending failure. Even if I try to resend it won't get delivered even though other msgs are being sent. But the failure one once failed can't be sent.
Any solution. .?? I'm unable to send group and longer msgs because of this problem. And I don't wana root my phone.

Go to accessibility --> services --> TALKBACK.
Turn OFF the Talkback option
my s3 has developed a small but irritating issue after updating to 4.3. the battery level drops very quickly lets say from 90% to 40% within 2 to 3 hrs. I switch it off and plug the charger and immediately switch it on and bingo I found my battery level back at around 80-85% level where I should be. then it discharges normally. it happens once in two or three days. anyone has any solutions.
11 months ago I paid £370 for a phone that is now does not work and s worthless. This is how it happened.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 through Amazon Marketplace at end February 2013. At the time I was surprised that the supplier didn't provide a VAT receipt. I queried it and was fobbed off with the answer that the only document available was the Amazon 'Final Details for Order' document - which specifically states that it is NOT a VAT receipt. Amazon Customer Services were little help, referring me back to the Marketplace supplier every time.
So far so bad, then last Saturday, 1st Feb 2014 the phone developed a fault with the display. I took it to my local Samsung Approved Repair Centre to be told that the phone isn't covered by the two-year Samsung warranty as I had thought because it was made for the Hong Kong market and the Samsung Centre can only repair EU models under warranty.
It gets worse, I have gadget insurance so I then called them. They were sympathetic and helpful but there are two snags: firstly they don't pay for repairs that ought to be covered under warranty. Secondly before entering a claim they expect to see a proof of purchase receipt with VAT number and IMEI number (neither are quoted on my Final Details for Order). I have made a request for special pleading in this case - we shall see what happens.
Of course I also went back to Amazon. They insist you should first approach the vendor through Amazon, which I did. I had a very prompt reply to tell me that company is no longer a Marketplace vendor. So, of course I e-mailed Amazon Customer Services pointing out that they have allowed a vendor onto Marketplace which sold me a dodgy product with NO warranty and has subsequently disappeared. Amazon's response is to wash their hands of the whole business.
P.S. The phone itself was fine until it developed the fault with the display.
