U said ur using 4.0.4 kitkat update through cyanogen mode.So how u feel using it. U wer 100 right every phone which as android OS i check ram usage they always have 300mb+ ram free, when i see my ram usage most probably maximum 120mb or less will be free. Now my question is i also saw the custom rom update for our phone in cyanogen site,is it free to use because am in fear i should not loose my mobile because of installing custom because i got this mobile as gift from dubai so no warrenty.so if u say this custom rom is good to use ill install it.
Android 4.3 is solves lag problems (not all) and get some features to device. but device is still use over 700 mb ram and this causes very bad lags. Otherwise 4.3 is more smoother than 4.1.2. I think Samsung must stop using TouchWiz. It was great on 4.0.4 but after 4.1.2 it causes heavy lags and lots of ram use while phone is not using. I used 4.3 about 1 months. Still have lags and much RAM use. CyanogenMod 11 (Android 4.4 KitKat build) is using 515 Mb RAM when phone isn't use and you have 300 mb ram to free use. And phone works so smooth. Zero lags and problems. I used CM 10.2 and 11 full stable with I9300 model. These guys know how to did this job. I'm not waiting for updates anymore, i'm bored of Samsung's bad update policy and heavy TouchWiz bullshit.

You're not alone, my S3 is just the same. When you wake the phone up from 'sleep' by pressing the Power button it takes about 2 seconds for the screen to appear. 'Contacts' are slow to appear, as is the 'Messaging' app, and the battery drains like a sieve. This has got to be the worst Firmware to date.
Last night I updated my s3 on 4.3 UK test firmware. It's not smooth .likes previous version it's also lagy.Ram only 831, wake up problem ,Battery drain very quickly. .. they try to fix few bugs but that's not enough.plz tell me anyone face any lag on i9300XXUGMK6 firmware likes me..Thanks

I thought Samsung always contacted you personally.

Samsung told you all that, did they? You should work for GSMArena, (or any other similar site), because you seem to know more then they do!
Perhaps you could give the rest of us Samsung's email address so that they can send us an update (like they did for you) to sort out the mess they have landed us with.
