Wick, 18 Oct 2013Its not like I comment on these without checking it first. I tried it on many PC and my laptop... moreHere in UK within 28 days of a fault occurring you get a new phone or refund never mind 4-5 days.
AnonD-179923, 18 Oct 2013why my s3 gets hot very easy at the place that is the home button/??????I have just been out filming a fire engine put out bin fire, anyhow it took 2.1 GB to film just 16 minutes and my s3 got hot and near button..I am not in anyway bothered by this..Running a quadcore with no heatsink and big fan on top things will get hot,,in fact its big feat of engineering.
When I got my first 3g smartfone back in 2004 it got hot doing 3g calls,it was Nokia's 6630..Its normal to get hot..The hottest fone I ever had and it was nearly untouchable was Samsung Z500 which was a clamshell small 3g phone..
I cannot understand the worry about heat with quadcore, GHz of power, fast GPU.s, 2.1 amps of battery powering it all things gonna heat up its basic physics.
This heat will not shorten life unless its running outside its operating temp..Most cpu top out about 100 centigrade which is boiling point. What you perceive to be hot might only be 40 degrees centigrade ..If it start smouldering then something is not right but there are lots of measures in place to stop that.It is more likely your phone will shutdown before it get overheated.
I have no worries over heat issues is normal but if it extra hot but not doing much then a rogue thread or app is causing cpu to run at constant full speed.Switching phone off and on again can resolve it else its back to the agony of finding the rogue app.

I tried it on many PC and my laptop... moreI don't know where you bought your phone but with a problem like that doesn't it fall under manufacturer defect. And has to be fixed or replacesd for free. What is the point of your warranty it it not going to cover defects?
Dumb, 17 Oct 2013If the phone doesn't connect to PC is not the device is your PC!!!!Its not like I comment on these without checking it first. I tried it on many PC and my laptop before complaining. And it was checked by Samsung service center and was confirmed as a problem with the socket on the phone and needs to be replaced. It was a brand new phone bought 4 or 5 days ago. And that is why Im very upset about the quality. There were other people in the service center complaining about their S3 sockets werent working as well. So I knew that I were not the only one with this problem. please check your devices before you buy them.
hera, 18 Oct 2013how s3 lies in hand? I am afraid that it is too big to not slip out of your hands. ?? I kno... moreDont worry it fit right in to your hands if your hands are big enough. But it isnt difficult to hold it as you will get used to it.
