Lemme give more on this...
I did press Volume up,power and home key and it was suppose to viberate. But it will not.. It will show the samsumg screen with model number sometime and will disappear, later the android symbol will come just as a flash and it will go. later in another few seconds it will show a screen with the Wipe cache and rest options on the screen. ..in the middle of the acreen it will have a wording *No Command" its then I release power button and havr volume up and home key pressed.
If I select wipe cache partition I can see it running and in few seconds I can see an android symbol with an red exclamation saying Error.
Checked in some forums and saw some similar post like this.. but none had an answer.

I only asked about your carrier because the S4 has different methods of accessing the Recovery mode depending on who you are with. For instance, with Verizon you hold the VOL UP and then the Power button until the phone vibrates. Then you let go of the Power button but keep holding VOL UP.
Apparently, with the AT&T version of the S4 you hold the three keys until the phone vibrates, and then release the Power button but continue holding the other two until it enters Recovery mode.
I don't know if that is true or not because I don't own an S4, but that is what I meant by modified ROMs.
Anthony...Bro this is the first time I tried the wipe cache partition just today . and it throwed that error.
@Free Faller...My mobile is not carrier specific. AM from india and provider is airtel, and it has nothing to do wit this issue.
I have not rooted the device nor tried any custom ROMS yet. This is the first time am trying to reset the phone to remove the cache as I have some issues with my work wifi network.

If your ROM is an unmodified one from Samsung then it should work. What I mean is that sometimes different carriers insist on a modified ROM from Samsung.
What carrier are you with? It is possible that your supplier is using a ROM with that option disabled.
Either that or you are using a non standard ROM. Try leaving your phone ON and holding the Power button down and see if a menu with 'Reboot' option appears. If it does then select that and an option for 'Recovery' might appear. This is how a friend of mine has to do it running CM10.1

You sound as though you know what you are doing, but here is the method anyway:
Turn your phone OFF and wait about 15 seconds until the memory is completely cleared. Then switch your phone ON by holding down the Volume UP and Home button together and THEN press the Power button until the Samsung logo appears. That is called a 'three button reset'. Release all three buttons and you will see the Android robot and the phone will boot into Recovery mode. Using the Volume Up/Down button, select 'Wipe cache partition' and press the Power button. When it returns to the recovery screen, select 'reboot system now'.
This will work on the S4 model you have as well as the S3. If it doesn't, and you still get the response you stated in your post then it sounds as though you have a custom ROM fitted.
