So it does, I never noticed that before. With the S-Voice option OFF, the Home button defaults to the Homescreen; but if it is ON then the Home button returns you to the last app you were using. I've just tried it with several apps with the same result.
How about 'Smart Stay'? I've just tried it and it works; the screen didn't go into 'Sleep mode' all the time I was looking at it.

And I have seen both my HD2 and SIII continue to discharge if it is ON and using a cable with a low rating. A simple thing as changing the cable to a higher rated one and using the same car lighter unit charging goes back to normal.
Last cable I bought (9 months ago) was a 1.0A flat USB cable and so far it is not failing like others have done in the past over time.

I can’t seem to help my self but press the home key to awake the screen when it goes to sleep and I was surfing the web.
Strange thing is with s-voice active the screen would awake and stay on what ever I was looking at, but with s-voice off the screen would awake and go to the default home screen. (That drives me nuts)
If there is a way to have s-voice off but not have it do that, please let me know.

Check the output on your Samsung charger, they do vary. I have one that is 0.7A output, but a later model that is 1.0A output. I purchased a 2A charger from Amazon which cuts my charging time down considerably. Some people claim that a higher output like that harms the battery, but I haven't found that it does.

That's because there was a big hoo-hah about phones using different connectors on the charging port and nearly all the manufacturers (not Apple of course) agreed to use micro USB as a standard.

Doh, that's one of the first things I always turn off anyway. Just for you, I turned that option back on, and yes, there is a momentary delay before the screen returns to the default one when you press the Home button with it on; but because the option is still built in to the OS then it would.
Who ever uses S-Voice anyway? (Waits for indignant replies of "I do").

What about the delay to go to the default home screen when you press the home key, that was being caused by having S-voice being active, was that fixed?

Day 1 of using Android 4.2.2 and things are looking good so far, although there are a few things I'm still working out.
For instance, you now have banner notifications on your lockscreen for missed calls and texts. If you slide your finger down on the text notification then a greyed out box appears with nothing in it (strange). Swiping on the box takes you directly to the messaging app where you can read the message in full. I think the box is supposed to show you a preview of the message but it doesn't. People on the S4 forums are equally puzzled so it's not just on this ROM.
You now have multple lockscreens. If you slide your finger across the top of the lockscreen it takes you to another one that slides in from the left. You now add widgets to the lockscreen so that you don't have to open the phone. I have 3 lockscreens set up, but I don't know how many you are allowed.
Lockscreen options are now 'Ripple' and 'Light'. Ripple you know about. 'Light' is just that. You get a bright lightspot on the screen that glows even brighter when you press it.
RAM management is greatly improved; the phone is really smooth now. From looking at the Task Manager it seems (although I might be wrong), that apps you haven't used for a while are automatically removed from memory, so freeing up more RAM for use.
The Settings menu has been overhauled and you now have 4 tabs along the top - Connections, My Device, Accounts, and More. It makes navigation a lot easier.
The notification bar at the top now has 17 options (NO, I'm not going to list them all).
Battery management - too early to tell as I've been playing about with Settings etc. which is bound to take it's toll on the battery, but I will update.
