I found that I could not download software updates a few days ago and on checking I found that my s3 phone software was modified - by itself. How? and what should I do? My greatest fear is that I will not get the s4 update due next month. Can some one please comment. Many, many thanks in advance.
The dark dots on black background in the dark room is a common amoled issue. I used 3 galaxy s3s. I noticed the same issue on all those. Also you can see some dark lines on dim gray or dim white noticeably. That's why I always recommend people to not buy Samsung's high end devices.

But if you know for a fact there are some apps you just don't use, it makes perfect sense to remove them from the auto lunch system boot up list.

Android think free/unused ram is wasted ram so it tries to preload as much as possible into the ram, but Android quickly and automatically free ram if needed! Manually clearing the ram is stupid because Android will then again see the free/unused/wasted ram and again start to preload as much as possible into the ram!
My advice is, do not worry about the amount of free ram because Android handles it automatically!

Game Hub,ChatOn (if you don't use it), Maps, Music Hub,Yahoo news, S-voice..Of course, you will need to root your phone first, but if you don;t want to root your phone, go to settigns>apps manager>all apps and then choose apps which you want to disable.
and you can also try to disable lock screen Ripple Effect, use some cache cleaner apps, and you can also try to set background apps limit on developer options.

I'm using a SanDisk card and once in a blue moon my SIII would jusy stop seeing the card.
And what works to make if functional again is, I just load it into my brother-in-law galaxy tab 10.1. And let mount there.
Then it works fine again in my Siii. No formating, no data loss. It's odd but true.
It's working nice, but when i'm trying to download apps from appstore, it says that memory isn't enough...
still 16gb microSD...but the internal storage is over 100mb. also it says it's 11 gb, what can i do : / ?
not recomended to buy, the battery is suck and the phone main inside is suck
