Now affordable price with future proof hardware. Waiting for next updates.
Just bought my S3 yesterday morning. I had an iphone 4S before. This phone beats all Apple products (including 5). Great display and colors, touchscreen, response. It just rocks! And I guess S4 it's even greater.
I'm having a big problem with battery consumption; it only last about 5-6 hours before shutdown, when it is well charged (1oo%) . Do you have some tips for me?
Also have Data limit problems... uses too much data in a day.. don't understand.
Follow up on below...
Reset the phone last week... was using for a week now after installing regular emails and chat apps.. still the phone freezes. Atleast once a day I have to hold power button to restart phone .. many times it hangs after using Chrome browser and email apps.
Lising hopes on my S3 :-(
Have to try rest again...
I used Galaxy note 1 for last 9 month.Did not attract me.B4 that I used to use iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.Now I'm confuse which to buy iPhone 4S or Galaxy S3? Which will be better considering everything?
Nikidroid, 12 May 2013His friend came to nearest Samsung Service Center, not told by email or chat or letter. I don'... moreAs I said. You don't know who he spoke to. And trust me not all services center staff are properly trained in warranty policy. That why you should always get detail information that yiu can contact the manufacturer with. And always speak to a supervisor when you are not getting a appropriate response from a front line rep.
It's your money and it does have value, so you don't just through it away.
Nikidroid, 12 May 2013Sorry for the false price given. It should be 160 in US Dollar.
I am not sure, that I know ... moreIf they detected something that they can class as your fault, then it's not a manufacturer defect and by extension could not be the sudden death issue.
And if you had to pay a diagnosis fee, then you would be given the results of the findings. Even if you decide not to fix it.
This is not my first smart phone.
And I have gone through this for both defects... and problems caused by me.
And I always skip the dealer and contact the manufacturer.
I have my SIII 9 mouth now and so far haven't had to contact Samsung for anything.

I am not sure, that I know usually all complaints in my country are handled by the customer service. I agree if the unit is malfunction because of defect, should be replaced with no any cost (free). But it may different for each country. I found in Google there was someone should pay for fix Galaxy S III in India, the Samsung said it was caused by water. How come? I copy paste too this comment from http://www.sammobile.com/2013/01/02/galaxy-s3-sudden-death-to-be-fixed-by-firmware-update/

it’s a shame because it happened to me. I send
my s3 to samsung poland and they canceled my
warranty and said that it is my fault. I had to
repair my phone in not authorised service and
pay 100 euros for this.
Back to my friend, he didn't tell me much his friend. Just share to me, he would like to buy Galaxy S III but afraid of its sudden death because his friend faces like that. When his friend was told cost him around 160 in US Dollar, his friend cancelled it to repaired.
Anonymous, 11 May 2013Does it have led notification??Yes it does.
The LED is just left of the Samsung logo and is only seen when it lights.
SIII has it.

To find out why he had to pay for a manufacturer defect when he still had a valid warranty.
Did your friend contact Samsung support via email and report his situation so they could give him a response?
What did your friend do after talking to the rep that may have been under trained in manufacturer warranty policy?
Anthony, 06 May 2013You are trying to say that the official Samsung repair center wants to charge your friend for ... moreA friend just share his friend experience on the Galaxy S III to me that said his friend used the device for several months (no rooting) still in warranty and then faced sudden death. When his friend ask Samsung Service about this, they said this unit should be replaced on the motherboard and ask him paid for around 1.600 in US Dollar.
I love my S III, I don't have problems with it. I had it since December of last year. I had it over charged for about 7 hours and when I unhooked it from the charger it froze, I simply did a hard reset on it and it worked fine until now. Doing a hard reset is pressing the on/off button until the phone turns off completely...

Hard reset puts the phone back to its factory settings and removes your data.
