No, they just state that to cover themselves. When it's charged, it's charged, and that's it. They always say batteries are circuit protected so that you can't overcharge them anyway.
I plugged mine in that night,(it was already 58% charged when I got it anyway), went to sleep, and turned it off when I woke up 6 hours later. It showed 100% so I just stuck it in the phone, (and then charged it again 9 days later)!

Other option>>>pretend you lost the phone or you could wait for weekend. Don't you normally sleep late on the weekend?
I collected the zero lemon battery today and the first thing I read was
“ please charge battery for 12hours prior to initial use.”
Freefaller, did you do this with yours? As I have no idea when next I will be in any one location for 12 consecutive hours.
Is the galaxy s3 still worth buying now? Or should i buy the nexus 4 instead because of the much more Cpu and Gpu
[deleted post]On that note...you can get a $2 OTG usb from ebay, it'll work fine. I have 2 of them because it's so cheap and felt pity to the Seller so I bought 2. Work perfect with S3 I used it often with Flash drive for quick files transfer.
simply saying a great WOW.......
I cannot get me sent emails. why
Plz i need some one to help me understand something about the usb becuz i am really confuseddddd, when i bought my samsung s3 i bought a simpe usb cable (not the samsung otg one) in order to connect it with external hard drive , then i found out that android doesn't read ntfs or fat32 ....i have to root it and i don't really want to , then i knew that there is otg usb cable in samsung store ...so my question is what does this cable do??? If the last cell you have was with a 10 key alpha numeric pad. Then you got a lot to learn.
Read the user manual that is linked right here in the forum and you decide if it too complicated for you or not before you buy.
Because of the size of the screen the virtual keys are bigger which makes it easier to interact with.
Internet browsing is smooth and it supports flash content after you install the adobe flash 11.1.xxx.xx for free.
The pixel count is high and colours are rich, so watching videos and text a treat instead of an eye strain.
If you have H+ service on your sim, programs like viber and whats app make SMS and MMS obsolete. Multitasking is smooth and response time is short (when you turn off most of the gimmick features.)
Using the phone as a wifi hotspot is easy to set-up but speeds depend on your service provider. I am able to stream netflix on my phone and a next device at the same time with no problems.
Battery life is average for any Android device which means depending of what is used, you can get any where between 10 hours – 2days (the way I use it I get 10-14 hours)
The battery is removable and you can buy extended batteries. Because of the thinness it does not feel bulky in the hand and not even noticeable in a pants pocket
The most annoying thing on this phone is how long the default dialer & contacts take to load. At time it could take 3-5sec which feels like 3-5 min compeered to the rest of the phone speed.
S-voice, smart stay, face lock all work. But not flawlessly as they are shown in tv ads.
I have gone from 4.0.4 – 4.1.1 – 4.1.2 in just 4 months on the SIII and there is 4.2.2 and 5 to come before the end of 2013.
Finally boot up time is approx. 22sec

Screen is Gorgeous , Camera is Fantastic ! Gaming is a breeze ... and the audio via headset is just WOW ! 3g and wifi both works great on my phone ..... and yeah it feels really great in hands ... it is pretty comfortable to hold and the phone fits great in my pocket :-)
good luck :-)
How easy it really is to use this phone for everyday use? Simple basic actions like calling, texting, 3G, WiFi spots, listening to music, internet searching, settings, battery life, games etc. How does it feel in the hand? Are there any annoying glitches? Any annoying or too complicated features? How often do android updates arrive? I've already read all reviews and seen a lot of comparison videos, but I need to hear it from real users so I could make my final judgement on whether to but it or not.
Thank you.
