I was surprised at how comfortable it was to hold. I thought it would be like a house brick but it actually fits nicely in the hand.

How it feel and look with new battery, is it too much thicker than original or uncomfortable in the hand?
Thank Freefaller

I have this phone for nearly a year now and I can tell you that it's still as good as new! If you have problems and since you just bought it, you should return back for service or get it replace. Get contact with Samsung customer service...with reasonable approach they will help you sort out the problem. On that note, I have my fridge replace to brand new after my old one faulty and out of warranty.
i got this phone a week ago and there's only one problem i have with it, so far. the messaging app fails from time to time. when i reply to an sms the whole conversation disappears, then all of my conversation disappears. of course, restarting the phone is the solution but still, it's very frustrating when it happens. and while typing an sms i get horizontal lines on the screen, it's not that bothering but this is a high end smartphone and i think samsung should fix these bugs on the next update.
PROS on this phone:
display is excellent.
music is excellent.
camera is great.
interface responds very quickly.
CONS:
overall build feels cheap. rear cover gets scratched easily.
battery life is short (of course, this is a quad-core monster)
loudspeaker is not so good.
overall i think the phone is very nice. i can live with the said cons so i am very pleased with this phone.:)
So normal phone with completely bad battery vs good apps good specification but not working more than 3-hours with just internet & 15 to 20 minuet call.

All you have to do is a factory/hard reset and that will restore proper drivers.
Some times you have to clear your cache partition then do the hard rest.
But don’t worry which every way you do it, its restoring the new ROM not the old one you had on the phone.
please tell me someone i have s3 and Freezing every few minutes. unresponsive. and i must rebut or wait 15 minutes to back in normal...
i have official update 4.1.2, no root...
also read some forums and this problem start after official update... and so many people complain for this problem...
please help i will trow phone on street i pay so much for this?

It’s the inter-carrier connection for your mobile application. Normally, it's universal and doesn't affect your phone but I always check the languages of a ROM I am using before I download it if I can because then I can be sure that the ROM is supported by my carrier.

I jump from version to version all the time and just clear the cache partition and do a hard reset if I have any booting problems after the flash/change.
This Sunday I went from CSC i9300uubell1 to i9300oxaemc2 and because I cleared the cache partition first and went directly to download mode after. The switch was fault free.
True I was not changing language but is there more to the CSC I need to know?
Just what I'm always preaching... Use it or lose it!

I hadn't thought of doing it that way round; but it's logical when you think about it. The next time I flash my phone (about every two weeks) I'll try your method.
Poor ol' phone, I only have to get the USB lead out and it jumps into download mode by itself now! (LOL)

You have to check the CSC first when you use a ROM from another region/country, but luckily the UK ROM has English(Australia) installed so it will be OK for samalhg to use.
@ freefaller
I did it
I change the ROM on Sunday. but just like you I’m hooked on TouchPal so I have no way of know if the dial/contacts got faster or not with out undoing a bunch of setting I made so TouchPal would be default and the original would not even load at system startup. (just don’t feel like undoing the settings as I’m so happy with TouchPal)
First time flashing this way…
I powered off
cleared my cache partition
then went straight to download mode without booting into the OS first.
And flashed to the ROM you are using.
Thankfully I didn’t have to hard reset after.
Normally I would flash the ROM first then clear the cache, but would still have to do the hardreset.
