Outlook, 21 Mar 2013Can you sync S3 with Outlook?
Yes you can sync the SIII with outlook using kies but in a very limited way.
There is compatibility issues with how things are sorted task and calendar tag donít match depending on how complex you make them and some of outlook contact tabs get left out.
Your best option is to install moffice and use that to sync your tasks and calendars between phone and outlook and forget using the task and calendar that came with the SIII
Moffice is a free app but the sync drivers for your PC you have to pay for.
As for issues with tabs you may or may not run into with contacts. I donít know of a proper work around.
If you want true 100% compatibly with outlook get a WP8 phone that is what it was made for.

but is that flash version stable? and does it really poses security issues like some say on blogs and news articles? cause i heard that it opens a back door for hackers and malicious software!

Helen, 20 Mar 2013I have had this phone for about a year. The battery life if reasonable, compared to other big s... moreSome things you should know.
You donít need to root your SIII to play flash in the default web browser.
Just install adobe flash 188.8.131.52 or 184.108.40.206 available from xda-developers for download. I have giving the link to it many times in this forum.
The polaris that comes with the phone is the reader only version.
But you can download for free from the Samsung more services app the full editor (Polaris Office 4.0) this is the version that works on the SIII.
You are correct in saying you canít un-install the default apps. But I do know how to avoid your annoying steps.
Just stop them from auto loading when the phone starts. This will save you from having to disable them every time you restart the phone.
Just install the app (All-In-One Toolbox) and go to the tools tab and under Start-up manager, pick Boot speedup.
In there disable all the user & system apps you donít want to auto loading when the phone starts.
Back in your full apps list tap on menu>Hide applications
Hide all the default apps you donít use so they donít clutter your list.
Note: if there is a app you like to start every time you turn on your phone on use the same All-In-One Toolbox and go to tools>startup manager> add to startup
Btw if you are really paranoid about being tracked you should not use any kind of cell-phone (not just smart phones) and avoid the internet at all cost, not to mansion do not own a ATM/VISA card (only use cash).
Something to think about if you decide to reply to this. Helen with the forum I.P. ID n5CZ :-)
kp, 19 Mar 2013i m gonna buy galaxy s3 . so guyz plzz tell me howz it's battery lyf ? thnx :)
very bad phone 2 sim is not avail ble battry back is
not more time when use some apps all feature like samsung glaxy s douse is best
I have had this phone for about a year. The battery life if reasonable, compared to other big screen phone on the market. I have had to disable some apps that I don't use and the battery last all day with minimal use.If I don't use it at all, ie; receive calls, msg, use internet, use radio and all the rest then the battery would last 3 day and a half. I've done this experiment.
Also you can't play flash unless you do some rooting or install some apps that support flash.
To read, write xsl, docs and PowerPoint there are apps on the market. The Polaris app which come with the phone is limited. There are lots of apps per-installed that I don't use them and you can't uninstall them. The only thing you can do is to disable them but as soon as you reboot the phone those apps are back and running as normal.so you have to go through the apps again to disable them, very annoying. Another thing to remember and I found out myself is that every app that has been installed and every app that you install from the market reads and track your mobile phone no,msg, call and so on.Every thing you do and not do you are been tracked and watched behind the scene. So, as you can see security it's rubbish. That's why I don't do much with it.I am still using an old phone. This is were you would have to think hard on your decision if you want a phone that tracks every movement you do and you don't care about your privacy or you look at simple option for a just a simple phone used for emergency and be contactable.
Hope this will help.
