As for the delay in the dialer and contacts when they are starting….. Samsung needs to scrap the interface design and just start over. (This is my opinion after using the dialer in the sense UI and is not based on any technical facts)

1. Gorilla glass is scratch resistant not crack proof. A cheep silicone case could save you the pain of watching your screen with a broken glass.
The silicone protects against pressure point drops that shatters the glass.
To like below is to the case I have one now and I am happy to say I have dropped mine many time even on asphalt road with no damage.
2. connect to a PC with an internet connection and install kies and check for updates for your phone.
3. To view the internet as it was intended put it in desktop view from menu & install adobe flash 126.96.36.199
The full version # is important as most of the other versions are not supported.
Download link below.
4. If you getting +/-12 house battery live on an average day. It’s normal for many users .
5. When gaming if you are getting drop frames turn off power saving mode.

That is where data is temporally stored for quick random access by the CPU. The more RAM that is free the more you can do at the same time smoothly.
App and data are installed/saved on the ROM chip and if you say it is a new phone, you should have a lot of that free, So don’t panic.
