Hi, s3 user from india... Samsung did not offer updates through out all the regions/countries at once... the update i mentioned was released in Netherlands Open network i9300XXUGNJ2 region code is PHN. I dont know when samsung release this update in india or else where... u can also flash above stated firmware via odin but keep in mind that after update via odin u will loose r warrenty and will no longer update ur fone with samsung kies... so if u have enough tech know how than go ahead otherwise use ur country specific updates they contain region related language support and many other network related optimizations... and about the picture share and other problems see ukuser post he has mentioned how to re-enable those apps responsible for that task
Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Samsung Galaxy Grand 2? Which is more better? Help me please..

If you wipe the cache partition just before using Odin3 you will not get the problem of the phone freezing on the logo screen after the flash.

UK user, 07 Nov 2014I have been trying the lists Right now I am looking at my SGS3's. I have 2 as i got them cheap... moreBoth are averaging around the figures pretty stabily. I have both on limit background processes 4 at most ( though i closed the 4 and waited to see what opened). And also on the "services in use" menu i closed all apps and just allowed the ones to open automatically. Anyway this seems to be working the best way for me.
Edit the phone on 4.1.2 also has Google Partner set up disabled.

I have 2 as i got them cheap (hopefully will last me a few decades and with keyboard & mouse etc). One is on 4.1.2 other is 4.3. I have managed to get 487ram free on 4.3 version and could delete a few apps more that are always running, Ymail, Poweramp,Widgetzoid, so possibly 500+ free. The phone on 4.1.2 is around 370 free ram. All i've closed is google books, google play games, google magazine, google movies, google music, Svoice
rave2012, 30 Oct 2014Guys I have 4.3jb its very slow. give me a link for ics or jd 4.1.2 pleaseAny one who want to go back to stable fast battery friendly 4.1.2 jelly bean instead of lagy unresponsive bugy 4.3 than first instal samsung kies 3 on ur PC this will instal all the drivers u need... than download i9300xxemg4 firmware its unbranded uk btu latest 4.1.2 stock firmware with new efs ver2, i hv tested myself & it works very well. Download exactly the same firmware as i specified above otherwise u will loose ur network signals. Coz samsung has changed efs format in 4.3 so be very careful while downgrading to 4.1.2 use only my suggested firmware i9300xxemg4 coz its the only firmware with efs ver2 so its safe and will work in any country. Firmware is available on sammobile dot com u hav to register for download. Now download odin 3.07 on Pc, unzip downloaded firmware & open odin click on pda button and browse to downloaded firmware wait for a minute or two coz odin wil check md5 checksum, now in phone go to developer option and activate usb debugging, and than go to securty and click unknown sources and than shutdown ur fone... than when completely off press volume down+ home button+power at the same time press and hold and when asked press volume up to enter download mode than conect usb data cable to fone and pc... than in the pc u will see light blue color at the left top of odin with comm port numbr now click start in odin and wait for few minutes plz note battery shoud be 80% or more while doing this...After flash odin will reset the fone and pass message will appear.. disconect the fone usb cable... ur fone will stuck at samsung logo so pull out battery and than re insert battery and go into recovery mode and wipe cache and wipe factory reset and than restart from the recovery.. firt boot will take time so wait and thats it u r now on official 4.1.2 jellybean .

I9300XXUGNJ2 Nov 2014 release official stock 4.3 (open network unbranded update) with huge improvements. smooth performance and improved battery life... download via sammobile and use odin to flash...
You should root and install a custom ROM and see if that helps. Or you can format and reset if that works, if not try the first suggestion. Got to XDA forums for Rooting info.
my galaxy s3 has a litle problem. in fact, when I switch it off and when I changed a sim card, it loses the network I have to wait for several hours to get it and even when I have it I can't browse well. version 4.3
