Nishu11, 09 Jun 2012well i have a question for my knowledge:
how does smart stay and direct call work AT NIGHT,... moreSmart stay may not work if :
- the front camera fails to detect face (cut your hair or unplug your helmet)
- when using the phone in the dark
- when front camera is used for app
Direct call may not work if you closing your ear to the earpiece by moving your head instead of moving the phone closer to your ear. It works as the combination of proximity sensor and motion sensor.
Droid Terminator, 10 Jun 2012The GS3 destroys all competition? Not the Razr HD.
http://www.mobilenapps.com/articles/25... moreHow so? Expected specs of Moto Razr HD is basically HTC One X in a different shell, apart from its camera has more megapixels, which is pointless since 8mp is enough for semi pro or even pro photography.
Galaxy S3 is just the best phone and the phone will keep its top spot for quite a while...before the Note 2 releases in Q4 of this year.
I've had this phone for a few days, and I've been using it sim free, because its not yet unlocked, everything was working fine, until yesterday when it randomly kept getting stuck on the lock screen. I had the facial recognition and pin unclocking system working side by side. What happened was, after I enter the pin, the phone unlocks and locks automatically by itself after about 3 seconds, I did a factory rest using the key combination method and now its back to normal. Just wondering whether anyone else had the same problem and whether or not this is some kind of software glitch?
beautiful phone indeed... but i can see Sony Ericsson C901 somewhere

"The worst thing about the GS III? No matter how hard it tries, it just isn't greater than the sum of the HTC One X's parts. That's not to say it falls short, but merely to emphasize that times have changed since last year's Galaxy S II, which landed on an unsuspecting world that was largely devoid of predators. The Snapdragon variant of the One X has similar computing power, battery life and photographic credibility, but it also has a much better user interface that sticks more closely to the guiding ethos of Android 4.0. The One X also has a more forward-looking physical design, while the GS III clings to the tried and true styles of old. Perhaps the biggest sacrifice you'd make by going for the One X over the GS III is the loss of the cheap storage offered by the microSD card. That's a painful thing to give up, but given how deeply we feel about the need for Android to move forward and not get stuck in a Gingerbread-flavored groundhog day, we might just take the hit".
Once you've read the article, you will also note the superior benchmarks the One S posted over the SGS3 and accept that bottom line, they are just numbers on a sheet!
rj23, 09 Jun 2012to the fans of HTC One X, please post your comment on its page and not here coz this is Galaxy... moreSorry but people like u is like a dog chasing a car without any reason. HTC ONE X has better display, better user interface, better camera with better design. If s3 score 100 extra in benchmark is not enough. R u blind, can't u see pathetic touchviz, shit looking, average display compared one x in more price. But as I said above people like u is dog chasing a car.
dont buy s3, as i was having s i9000 it also was having amoled screen after 8 to 9 months got the screen burn in problem.
all the amoled screens have shorter lifespan and s3 is not a exception. as s3 says pentile display less susceptible to burn, but will burn with in 1 to 2 years.
so before buying read samsung galaxy s3 burn in problem...
seal, 10 Jun 2012 fast 30-40% battery drain after a 90mins movie.this is for htc one x. not sgs3
Droid Terminator, 09 Jun 2012Yes, one of the best design in the market, one of the best UI too and waterproof. Good luck!Windows phone has a WAY better UI than this little phone

But ill go for HTC one x for better user interface, better display, better design n better camera. That's too in less price than shit looking s3. If s3 score 100 extra in benchmark. Doesn't make any difference
Certain devices may be water-proof, but the majority of people don't submerge their devices under water. Other than that, the GS3 destroys all competition. The Sony Xperia acro S isn't great at all. With a dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion CPU, Adreno 220 GPU, and 1GB of RAM, it's lagging behind. Some people will try to make a case for its 12MP camera, but it won't look any better than 8MP offerings of current devices. It's not like we're dealing with a Sony DSC-RX100.
If anyone is in the market for a new Android smartphone right now, it would be foolish to look at anything other than the GS3.

Yeah before you come in with your crap I know said you had s2 or whatever. Have you ever tried the $150 virgin mobile LG Optimistic or the LG Ally which can be picked up under $100? Both with ARM V6 600mhz processors, 128MB of ram, and horribly limited rom. They still run good. Please don't come in here all but hurt with jealously
