AnonD-24964, 24 Apr 2014Hello guys, Been using gs4 since may last year, battery has never performed as described in... moreDo a factory reset. Also a restart after every charge will help. Just wait for an update. It will solve the problem..
Been using gs4 since may last year, battery has never performed as described in specs for me...I use to get 12 hours of moderate usage though...I must mention I have a 3g connection working all the time...still that was enough for me...but since the KITKAT update,I m literally suffering, there is hardly 1.5 hrs of screen time on I am getting and ANDROID SYSTEM consumes 50% of battery with time bw charges only around 6-8 hours, excessive drainage even in standby....can anyone suggest something?? thnx
hii shubham .which ohone is better s4 or nexus 5 m little bit confused
AnonD-257122, 23 Apr 2014If you go through the comparison between s4 & g2 by gs marena you'll see that both phones ... moreFinally a person who actually read the comparison. There have been a lot of changes from then. The exynos version of s4 got a software update which unlocked the full power of exynos 5 octa and now the octa version is on par with g2 in CPU.
Also the battery endurance of G2 has been increased to 81 hours. That makes the battery llife of G2 amazing.
All in all:
s4: better screen, removable battery, sd card slot and cleaner UI, cheaper.
G2: better ergonomics, better battery life, better GPU, OIS(though the cameras are equal with it also).
It's the hardest choice in this price segment.

AnonD-257122, 23 Apr 2014If you go through the comparison between s4 & g2 by gs marena you'll see that both phones ... morefor comparision the gsmarena always use snapdragon version of samsung not a exynos one
faizal, 23 Apr 2014Hi guys... am using s4 i9500 4.3 version. Nw itz shows update.. I think itz kitkat version. ... moreDont ever go to Kitkat update !
It consumes 30-35% more battery power than the olde version.
If you go through the comparison between s4 & g2 by gs marena you'll see that both phones are pretty much similar & it's a tie between the 2 in terms of camera but s4 has an edge over g2 in terms of expandable storage, removable battery & price while g2 has bigger screen, better gpu & bigger battery, so more or less both have their advantages &disadvantages.
I'm yet to decide which one to pick.
AnonD-256647, 22 Apr 2014no it doesn't support dual sim. yeah but you can have hindi language in it.Thanks
Hi guys... am using s4 i9500 4.3 version. Nw itz shows update.. I think itz kitkat version. Was is good in i9500..?? Could I download the update??? Kindly giv me the correct reply... thank u
mike, 23 Apr 2014THANKS ALOT FOR THAT SHUBAM....im still confused about which one to choose, cause the snapdrago... moreIn reality, s4 looks better than g2. G2 back is very slippery too. plus those back buttons take time to get adjusted to.
Regarding snapdragon 800, if the s4 octa is available in your country, then it has a better or almost same cpu in raw performance. My father's g2 gets 2200 in geekbench 3 and my s4 crosses 2450. So basically i9500 is more powerful in CPU. The only difference is in gaming but s4 is no slouch. It can play every game i tested smoothly. Even gta san andreas and asphalt 8 run smoothly. But yes, the g2 has future proofing as it has 30-40 % better GPU.
The biggest difference is the screen. The difference is huge. In dark if you watch movies, the s4 has perfect blacks as it's an amoled. Whereas g2 has an LCD that has greyish blacks.
Have a nice time choosing
ddas, 23 Apr 2014Shubahm..m frm pune. frm where I can get info abt sensors n lenses (sensor & aperture size... moreThe s5 octa available in india uses a sony exmor RS sensor which has a 4:3 13 megapixel sensor. The sensor size is 1/3.06 inches and aperture is f/2.2 . It has a 5 element lens.
The elements in a les means how many glass lenses are used one behind the other.
there are only 2 smartphones with a six element lens, the galaxy s5 and i think others are lumias.
The more element lens increases sharpness, decreases aberrations and distortions. Most phones have a 5 element lens.
Plus, the majority depends on the processing algorithm of company and nokia and samsung are kings. I have an s4. The average image comes at 4-5 MB eben reaching upto 10 MB in good light. The sony's algorithm is the worst and over compresses the images. Even the 20.7 Mp xperia z1 takes 1-2 MB photos with very less detail.
Have a nice day
Krish, 23 Apr 2014Hello Shuvam, read your post reg difference between 9500 and 9505.Very informative. Would like... moreYes, they come into play. The cortex a15 do run if you want to but they can't run at 1.6 GHz. Instead, they are underclocked at 1 or 1.2 GHz for saving battery. You can enable power saving mode without underclocking Cpu also but that won't save that much battery.
I ran geekbench 3 with power saving on. It gives a score of 1800- 1900 whereas without power saving it even reaches 2400-2500. So that's it about rhe power saving mode. If the cortex a15 didn't come, the score would be below 1000 as 1.2 Gh cortex a7 are very weak.
Have a nice day. Ask anything intellectual. I'll be more than happy to answer.
