can the heating problems be solved by the OTA UPDATE released by samsung..?ya. They are fixed but it will take almost a week for the phone to eradicate the problem completely. so wait a week after the update.
also some ideal practices while updating.
try to install through kies. It downloads the whole new firmware I.e 1.6gb but it's like a complete new thing.
backup your data in kies or anywhere you like and factory reset before and after firmware update.
follow these steps and voila. Your phone will work like charm.
Have a nice day
basheerov2013, 30 Sep 2013does any know how to use the infrared function in s4 ...just open the watchon app in the menu and then I suggest that you explore the app yourselves. it guides you thorough the basic steps and then you are ready.
sam58, 30 Sep 2013Thanks a lot bro. M so sry m asking u questions regarding the s4 very frequently. I wud like t... moreno. They won't affect your phone. But I recommend that you uninstall quadrant now as it may have a virus or something like that. And you should update your phone to the latest firmware. btw can you tell me which version are you using i9500 or i9505. As update fixes a he'll lot of problems.
have a nice day. Please be patient and explore the phone. You will enjoy it. You can ask me questions anytime. I won't be annoyed. I will reply in at most 12 hrs.

sam58, 30 Sep 2013Thanks shubham. . One thing I want to ask u. I have installed two benchmarking app QUADRANT @ ... moreI don't use quadrant. It is really a low standard app and never gets updated to get in flow with new high res screens and beefy processors. I think that should be the problem with quadrant itself but I don't know exactly. I used quadrant once and it worked fine though. But don't worry.
nowadays antutu is also going the wrong way. The new 4.0 update made it very bad to use.plus to your amazement, it shows galaxy s4 to have lower score than htc one which is absolutely not acceptible. in antutu's last version, s4 was way ahead of one in scores but they screwed up big this time.
The most standard app is geekbench 2 and 3. Also 3dmark is decent one. Basically a good benchmarking app is the one that tests a component fully for a longer duration.
You are really like me. testing out the phone fully. That's a good thing.
Have a good day.

I have installed two benchmarking app QUADRANT @ ANTUTU. But whenever I ran quadrant benchmark my phone keeps turn off by itself, then i have to start it again. However ANTUTU benchmark running absolutely fine. So is my phone having a problem or it is related with the quadrant benchmark app?? Pls reply shubham. . Thanks. .
sam58, 30 Sep 2013Hi shubham yadav. . Pls help me out. . I have jst bought s4 today. Its awesome no doubt. But I... moreyour phone is perfectly normal. initial charges take more time usually.
initially even if it heats up too much or battery drains too fast there's nothing to worry about add the phone adjusts the applications and chipset has a busy work to do optimising apps. don't worry on anything in the first week.
and in the ini tial 3 or 4 charges try to drain the battery completely and then charge.
If it poses the same problem after one week then ask me that time.
Have a good day.
Pilz help me mine s4 jeating too much on charging. .I am from pakistan
Hi shubham yadav. . Pls help me out. . I have jst bought s4 today. Its awesome no doubt. But I hv a query. I have been reading this s4 post since the day it launched. My problem is: My phone takes almost 2hr 35 minutes to charge completely, whereas I noticed in this post that s4 takes approx 1hr 50 minutes to charge completely. Is my phone normal?? Or it may be that my phone is still very new so the battery charging taking too much time. Pls reply shubham. . Thanks. .
Regarding android 4.3
I saw that android 4.3 UI looks like what sony, micromax and karbonn etc mobile's having when I searched in google. Above mentioned phones having classic UI, but really I dont want such type of UI...I like samsung UI..hence I moved from SONY to Samsung.
please tell me whether samsung UI remains same by adding new things in android 4.3 or not?
please can anyone tell me about this new update thats about 400mb ....d benefits and all and also does it have that simlock ish?
ivanonev, 30 Sep 2013So is it possible to revert to stock if I have any problem with s4? I mean after rooting and t... moreno. Not really. actually there is a binary counter in every phone which counts the number of times you have flashed it. And there is an app called triangle away which resets the binary counter to zero but that app doesn't work on i9500 so they will know that you have rooted and hence your phone won't be repaired.
This is what I know. If full knows anything more he can tell us. In any case I won't go for rooting until my warranty period greys over and I start getting fed up of my phone.
Have a nice day.
