And yeah battery issues are most likely the battery itself as lithium batteries age over time

Just bought this S4 i9505 yesterday for $10, surprisingly, it's Custom rommed into Android 11. Everything's functional, even the cellular too. The cons is that it's underpowered, i think the battery drain was at the battery itself (normal for samsungs). Overall, it's a very good old flagship phone that can be used as daily, if not for photography use and only light use.

The Galaxy S4 is a little underpowered now, but it's a pretty good phone, even for a secondary phone.

.....just spent the day browsing Youtube review.....think the Google S4a is the one I'd go for BUT my S4 is still working OK after 7 years....Does all I need...The only thing is the slow focussing on the camera but still takes very good pics.
Some apps don't run because of old O.S... but as long as I get Google, Ebay, Amazon, Youtube and Gumtree I'm happy.....
Think I'll hold on a bit longer - sorry the Google phone can wait a bit longer 'til I possibly buy.....

Had this phone many years ago and I must say, It's my favourite phone ever! It was so ahead of the time and had many new options, I enjoyed it!!

Anonymous, 16 Dec 2020Can you still get most apps with this phone? I'm not too sure with the current android version that's installed but I know that if you tried installing a custom ROM where the android version is more recent then, it will definitely support more apps than now it currently does
