[deleted post]Pls. do not insult writers of reviews. They seek advice from forums, since they are helpless and sometimes made helpless by Samsung. The I9505 really heats up on the screen near the top (speaker area), enough to burn the ear. This heat up I have noticed only when the screen is fully illuminated. The battery temperature is about 40 Centigrade. Battery heating up could be an additional issue for some I9505 phones.
stowe, 21 Oct 2013please anybody that contact Samsung tell them to do something about the overheating or anybody... moreHi Stowe, do not waste your time on complaining to Samsung, they are not helpful at all. They will never accept any liability but direct you to the vendor of the phone. You are correct, the I9505 heats up in few minutes, enough to burn your ear.

My daughter has an iphone with iOS7 on it, and it has been one disaster after another, with regular updates appearing to try and correct the mistakes Apple made by rushing it out untested.
At least Samsung have waited until the Firmware was tested properly. I haven't heard of any complaints about it so far, so it seems that the wait was justified.

You have NO idea of what you are talking about! Can you imagine what would happen if every user in the world tried to access the servers at the same time? They would go into meltdown. That is why it has to be done country by country.

Samsung is now making mockery of its users the update should have been out 2 weeks ago
I've completed the software update for mine but when I checked About Device it still shows 4.2.2 and when I try to do it again it says that it's already updated. Did I miss anything? Is there something else that I need to do?
Thanks in advance!
stowe, 21 Oct 2013please anybody that contact Samsung tell them to do something about the overheating or anybody... moreAll this rubbish about overheating is just that - Rubbish!
I have had my i9505 for two months now and have NEVER experienced any overheating problem. Three of my friends also have this phone - again, NO problems.
All this rubbish is like having a cold. One person sneezes and everyone else starts blowing their nose.

I have recently installed the test 4.3 jelly bean firmwire posted in Sam-mobile in my s4 i9505. Now the official firmwire has released.
1. Did I get the official update via ota or kies?
2. If not the how do I get the official update?
When I installed the test firmwire all my data has lost. So now if I use the official update of 4.3 will my data be lost again??
abree, 18 Oct 2013I would like to know which is the normal S4? Is it the I9505 or the I9500 model?Apart from the 4G the chipset and processors are different. If I am not mistaken theI9500 has Samsung's own processor ?
abree, 18 Oct 2013I would like to know which is the normal S4? Is it the I9505 or the I9500 model?I think the difference is the I9505 has 4G LTE. Word of caution, do not order from the internet as Samsung do not give even a 1 day warranty. My I 9505 had a factory fault and lost IMEI number and could not use it as a mobile phone, how ironical. This is just after 2 and a half months of buying it brand new from Amazon for USD 850. Samsung USA did not have the technology to fix it and did not give their one year warranty as stated in the documents in the box. This is simply because the warranty card did not have a dealer stamp. This is obvious isn't it. The box says do not accept if seal is broken and to put the dealer stamp you have to break the seal and open the box. But when buying from internet the box comes unopened. If the box is open there could be accessories missing or phone tampered with. See my predicament. This model has a factory fault. Do not buy it, especially from the web. Heats up like hell too when surfing the net or using maps, maps do not update your current location even with the GPS is on. Although it has many features, gesture control and eye detection is terrible and goes wonky. It drives me crazy trying to use those features, even after reading the user manual.Go for an IPhone which is much user friendly, better battery life and very reliable. Also in icloud what ever applications purchased will have to be paid for only once for any apple device and the apple store lists only high quality applications, and emails you a receipt for all purchases.

Can i ask wht is the different between s4 n s4 lte. N beetween s4 s4lte n s4 active which one better
upgraded to 4.3 visually there are no visual changes, performance seems to be increasing les lags when smart sceen and air gestures activated, antutu benchs shows increased performance.
Rishanth, 18 Oct 2013did anybody upgrade to 4.3?? I would not try any upgrades that Samsung would recommend as it created many issues with my I9505. After replacing the main circuit board I simply ignore all Samsung firmware and other updates. Just terrified of company who violates their own warranty policy.
Rishanth, 18 Oct 2013did anybody upgrade to 4.3?? Hello. yes I did the upgrade. a minor changeing in the look. the lockscreen a bit different, some new apps, and the keyboard maybe a little different. Antutu shows increased performance however quadrant shows decreasing performance.
