Last month, the Samsung Gear S3 started receiving Tizen 3.0 through a Value Pack update. But shortly after that, users started reporting poor battery life on their smartwatches. And a few weeks later, the company rolled out an update to fix the issue.
The update that fixes the issue wasn't made available everywhere - only Canada got it as far as we know.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the Gear S3 Tizen 3.0 update roll out was halted after reports of poor battery life started hitting headlines. And now, it has been revealed that the company has included fix for the battery issue in the Tizen 3.0 update itself.
The revised update has just started rolling out, so you'll have to be a bit patient if it hasn't reached you yet. Reports say the roll out should be completed by early next month.
The S3 frontier I have is basically the same size as every watch I have ever had.
I am from Canada and the Tizen 3.0 repair update did very little to help battery performance. I still don't get through a day at work on a full charge. 10 hrs max
S2 is pretty nice and not so big. I agree about s3, it's huge for the watch and don't fit most of the people. I was going to buy s3 as well but then I saw the size and changed my mind. I still hope they will make gear s4 more then 1 size like Apple.
