Samsung Touch UI MWC 2009 Rumors

We are back with yet another episode of Samsung Leaks online series. Staring this time is Samsung M7600 – a music-centered touchscreen handset. Promising to have the power of a small DJ station the handset comes with Bang & Olufsen audio. Meanwhile additional photos of the Samsung i8910 Acme also appeared online confirming that the handset runs on Symbian S60 5th edition UI.

Obviously the Samsung M7600 is determined to make the next step to providing improved music experience to the users by adding some DJ action. The rest of the specifications of the device sound pretty pleasing too, including a 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 3 megapixel snapper with LED flash, HSDPA, GPS capabilities as well as DivX support.

A closer look at the photos reveals a microSD slot, and a USB port as well as stereo speakers. We also couldn’t notice any stylus nest – either the Samsung M7600 comes with a stylus that gets attached externally like the Samsung i900 Omnia or the touchscreen uses the capacitive technology like the just announced Samsung S8300. Having seen that it also runs on the same UI, we certainly hope for the latter.

Next on the list gets again the heavily armored Samsung i8910 beast. There are some new clearer shots of the whole handset. They confirm that it runs Symbian S60 5th Edition, used in Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97.

Also the HD video recoding is confirmed by one of the photos showing the camera interface and the 720p video recording option. Much to the disappointment of some users the handset uses a LED flash instead of a xenon unit.

Samsung i8910, as we informed you before, features a wide touchscreen (similar to HTC Touch HD, but probably with 360 x 640 pixels resolution due to the OS used), 8 megapixel camera with HD recording, GPS, Wi-Fi and DivX support. A 3.5mm audio jack and a HDMI port are also on board (though the HDMI hardware is nowhere to bee seen on these photos).

Both phones will be announced officially at MWC 2009.

I think the HDMI on the i8910 is on the bottom left corner.
