Imran Amjad, 25 Jun 2009I am finally in love with Samsung. I had been a Sony Ericsson for a long time till i saw this ... moreI am tempted to buy the Omnia HD but due to a bad experience with the original HD with respect to reception, i am scared to make that investment. It would hurt to spend soo much on a phone and then not be able to make calls properly. Samsung has to do something about their cell phone reception.
You can find the Omnia HD for 550-580 euro and this phone which isn't a smartphone is going to cost 640 euros!!!! And with the taxes is going to cost 750 !!!! I'd rather to buy something else , like Htc , Nokia or Lg . Or to buy the Omnia HD
What the hell you are thinking in the Samsung's marketing department
I am finally in love with Samsung. I had been a Sony Ericsson for a long time till i saw this and Omia HD phone.
I want to know when this is being released! Apparently it is being released at the end of June in europe but not sure if that is still the case.
I bet it doesn't come out in the UK until August or September which would be really annoying, Although if it released in europe at the end of this month i might just buy an import.
We think it will be the expensive phone. What we need more in this phone?
1. Unlimited SMS/Phone memory through memory card.
2. SMS (threaded View)
3. Flash video support.
4. Adobe reader and Microsoft Office Edit/View support
Or launching as a Smartphone.,,,
I am getting so fed up of the lack of info/hands on/reviews with this phone. In the statement given by samsung, it states that the phone is due a June release in Europe! Well, you've got 7days left samsung.
steve h, 22 Jun 2009@david, a smartphone is a mini computer, with all computer capabilities. That was the old definition of a smart-phone, nowadays a smart-phone is any phone running on an operating system(RIM, Android, Symbian, WM, OSX) phones that have an OS are assumed to have WIFI, 3g, email, document viewing and all the other features.
Thats kinda where my head is too. For me, I just need a stylish looking phone, good camera, good UI and a responsive touchscreen. This phone looks like it is the one for me.
I just spoke to my Orange opperator who said that the phone is undergoing tests and isn't avaliable yet.
And according to celluloco.com......it DOES have a 800Mhz CPU. Whoop Whoop.
David Smillie, 22 Jun 2009Is that it???? Anonymous, 21 Jun 2009hi ,
I think that this phone will not be sucessful in the market due to 2 reasons
1 It has... moreOk, phonebook memory. Do you know more than 1000 people?????? Case closed!
Battery power.....because of the Amoled screen it uses around 60% (or 40%) less power than other screens in the market.
Camera. Samsung has really gone out their way to assure that the functionality of the 12mp on this phone is at the level of a digital camera. 28mm wide lens. 2 second time delay for next photo. Pretty good if you ask me.
I dont work for samsung by the way.....I've just done my homework.....!!!
