Samsung may use a harder "Super UTG" for the Galaxy Z Fold4

Samsung Android Rumors

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 can work with an S Pen, but support is limited – the foldable display is just too fragile to use Samsung’s regular stylus, you need to use one with a retractable tip instead. Rumor has it that Samsung is working on a more durable solution.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 will use a new, harder type of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), writes a leakster on Korean blog Naver. The company is allegedly considering marketing this as “Super UTG”.

The latest rumors claim that the Z Fold4 will have a built-in S Pen, similar to the new Galaxy S22 Ultra. This, combined with the more resilient display, can make the S Pen a headlining feature on the new foldable flagship rather than an afterthought (the awkward case you are supposed to use to carry the S Pen with the Z Fold3 certainly says “afterthought”).

I think that's the premise here. I tried bending some old screen protectors and I could bend them so far backwards that the outer edges touched (got folded onto itself). It did crack under some more tension, but it was actual glass being folded....
