The guys are comparing prices like they compare apples with oranges, without comparing the real specs. When they have to buy a mobile phone with the functions of the Galaxy tab and another tab like iPad, they have to pay much more for booth. Without plans and contracts! That is not to discuss!
As an example: iPad 16GB Wifi, without cameras,without expandable SD Card Slot, without mobile phone function is in Germany 499,00 EUR. With WiFi and 3G, without mobile phone function and others is 599,00 EUR.
When you have to buy a high tech mobile phone too, you have to spend more then 400,00 EUR and now, guys, compare prices with booth! You will wonder what you have to pay at least.
My Samsung Omnia II-GT-i8000 was about 569,00 EUR a year ago !!!!!!!
Relay, this prices are without plans and contracts from Providers. These are free market prices!
I will buy my Galaxy Tab tomorrow instead of my Samsung Omnia II GT-i8000, what I will sell by eBay in Germany.
This is the first complete Mobile Phone which is portable enough and fits to my big hands and fingers using the virtual installed keyboard, best usability for business users. I am business user and not only consumer and I was waiting for that solution. Samsung Galaxy Tab fits to it most!

how long will the battery last in a day? + the iPad cannot be taken serious i mean there is nothing special about it, it is like saying playstation 1 is better then xbox 360

It should have at least an 8mp camera with HD recording.
Super OLED screen with better battery.
700-800 USD too much for it.
You can support many hangry children for a few months with this money.
In 6 months it will be totally outdated - a toxic waste!

Not OLED, low resolution LCD. Lousy battery. OS and apps conflicts!
The technology is here to make a much better product.
They fool you again. The second generation will be much better and as usual for the dummies they release a dummy version.

6 inch screen with the size of 15(L)cm would have been perfect. Not too small and not too big..
However this is still good enough to beat the IPad in terms of specs.

This can do everything the IPad can plus make calls, run flash, take photos, expand memory and has a gps. What were apple thinking lol

well, it hasn't reach malaysia yet but based on the expected price in europe, it will cost 30% more than ipad. currently i am using froyo tablet from CSL mi1700, quite good & acceptable. full package come with gps license, car charger , case cover, & premium quality bluetooth handsfree. caps touchscreen, 600mhz qualcomm, 400ram, 4gb external memory up to 32gb, 3400mah batt. running very smooth. 3.0 mpx camera but produce quite low quality image. for usd500, its a value buy for tablet experience.

fais, 14 Oct 2010on what basies you are telling that galaxy tab is ont compatable to all application like galaxy s? i also read here in gsmarena that the android apps store is not compatable with the tab because the apps are not designed to work on a screen this large.android 3.0 gingerbread will be fully adapted to function with the apps store.
