i can make my galaxy tab to have standby of more than one week, simply close all running application that you're not using

so big.. its like carrying a book... and the battery life is bad... if planning to buy this better choose among other samsung galaxy...

the tab is very nice its something in between an iphone and an ipad with flashplayer i just wish they would upgrade to android 3.0 honeycomb

After reading all the comments, I have started getting doubts whether i bought a galaxy tab or something else.
My experience.
Yes,phone works fine, wifi good.
Samsung has bundled a software called Kies, never been able to sync contacts to phone, Tab cannot connect to the pc, always shows connecting. Called up customer care, was attended on the third day (after repeated calling). Third day the person says that i should not use the latest version of Kies so i downgraded the software & tried, now the error message is "this device is not supported". so far for the sync. The customer care tells me to take it to the nearest service centre to get the device checked.
Music - when you try with the earphone provided, seems that you are hearing music from a mono player - Horrible when compared to a IPAD.
when you go to the app store of samsung i downloaded need for speed shift, was left wondering whether there were some special controls for the device because it always steered right & stayed there. then i google it & learn that tab is not supported. as compared to an Ipad there are only a few apps in samsung store.
i am so upset on my decision of buying this device.
I have wasted money and a whole week trying to operate this crap.

Jus believe that it will do and perfor,m every thing u want....
the android market is awosome and so is the gameplay on this handset....
try nfs shift and air attack hd.... and so many no of games ....the list never ends ....
It has mobile tv....on which u can watch a no of channels .for free.... over wi-fi or 3g ..
ITS the best tablet phone .. which has released or will ever release ,...
Coz all tablets set for release will not have gsm func . no sms no calls....and will not work with 2g sims. and 3g for now is very expensive here in INDIA . This is the best feature that it works on 2g sims and gets out immense speeds .. while surfing... the pages load very fast....
The out of Box video support is gr8 from the samsung team .
.avi .wmv .mkv . it supports all . no compression , no conversion .... its gr8 ... even a video of size 16O mb .mkv format and 720p is playing normally on this MAGICAL TAB ...
which does not even runs smooth on my waste of money dell netboook....... its proc graphic is gr8 ....
Applications are endless ... u think and type and ull get 1 for it ...and all for free....
The browsing exp is amazing with finger zooming.... and the Mobile AP is gr8...... i m usin it jus now also.
Cant talk more about it .... I think must be sufficient enuf for every 1 To buy.....
Last but not the least the battery is good ...will not say amazing coz it totally depends upon ur usage.... and after heavy usage it lasts for bout 1 day......

Using this tab for more than one week since i'd bought it, i charged it once after the day i bought it. until now, it haven't reached the low battery status. what an awesome battery life of this tab.
Samsung rocks!!
