Guest, 01 Dec 2011I suspect Apple lawsuit may have caused delays with the release. However, Samsung must real... moreI don't know but the only two things I wanted to buy in this world was the Samsung note for use as a cell phone and the Samsung galaxy tab 7.7! Well the next thing I know is they are both not coming to the US! I am soooo tired of apples lil games! Look apple not everybody wants ur crappy lil tablet anymore! MAN UP AND GET THE HELL OUT OF SAMSUNGS WAY! I have the first generation of the Samsung tab, and I found it to be a very solid/stable platform. I know most prefer ten inch screens and I would like to have a bigger screen sometimes but then I remember that is would be a pain to carry it around I might as well keep it at the house. And typing on it! Ha! Forget it. I can barely type on the seven inch in landscape comfortably. Anyway getting off the point. The first sammy tab was nice so when I heard of the 7.7 I figured nice dual core cocked at 1.4, a tad bigger screen but not too much bigger like the 8.9, and the one main reason I was sold on the sammy slate, was the mere fact of its super amoled plus screen! For you out there that have never owned a Samsung phone with this screen technology let me just tell you, the best you can get! No one can say other wise. Its not so much the pixel density. Its the color saturation! Just turn it on and no adjustments on your part and you have the best looking screen in the world in the palm of your hand. I waited and waited for sammy to change their mind about the US? Then finally saw it one afternoon when I Google it, confirmed via Samsung no galaxy 7.7, nor Samsung note! So at the same time I finish reading that, I saw news on a release of another Samsung tab. The Samsung galaxy 7.0 plus (the second generation tab of the Samsung galaxy tab 7"). I saw the dual core (tad slower then the 7.7) but it cocked at 1.2 per core so I was good to go on it. No AMOLED tho! But at that point it didn't matter. So I preordered the tablet. And purchased the Samsung galaxy SII EPIC TOUCH. Right. After that BOOM! They announced that both the note and 7.7 would be coming to are shores somewhere in the 1/Q of 2012. Sucks. Now don't get me wrong. Both the Epic Touch and 7.0 plus are very good pieces of equipment it just wasnt what I wanted. For the people looking to buy the 7.0 plus? Its nice. A lot thinner as well as lighter then the first, the screen is the same as far as pixel density goes but, there is a new bit of technology from Samsung that allows the screen to become brighter and the colors richer on the PLUS, then the original galaxy tab. Battery is good. You can go probably about 8-9 hours of nonstop heavy use. The only problem is, I don't know if its the android OS (HONEYCOMB 3.2),or the touch wiz UX over lay but it can lag up a bit sometimes when messing around within the home screen /app drawer areas. The honeycomb built in home screen Google widget is slower then watching paint dry when it comes to typing searches into it, but I think most people are aware of this by now, and the thing that pissys me off the most about HONEYCOMB is the lack of SD support (I CANT WAIT FOR ICE CREAM SANDWICH UPDATE!/WHICH BY THE WAY WILL BE COMING TO BOTH MY DEVICES BY THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2012 TOO! So anyone with those devices that didn't know?, now do.) Yup no moving of the apps here to make more room if ur like me and have to download every app on the market you find cool but don't need at all! Only thing that will transfer to SD card from within the tablet is songs and pics. Not saying u can't install the apps on the SD card on ur laptop then transfer the SD card to the tablet. This would be ur only way of moving apps to the SD card. Besides those things great tab.

However, Samsung must real... moreNo I think the delay is in mass production of the 7.7 inch super amoled plus. Agreed they should release these in other markets soon where apple does not have law suit.
Also they should start working on the quad version of it.....
I would grab this surely .....already have bought a bluetooth head phone for this to use it for main phone + office work+entertainment.
Does anyone know the battery performance compare to 7.0 plus? screen, size, CPU, are all not important to me, I would not wait this one if 7.0 plus has a similar battery life.
I suspect Apple lawsuit may have caused delays with the release.
However, Samsung must realise that the 7.7 will have a shelf life until January 2012 if they do not significantly bump up the hardware and software (Android 4).
I am pretty sure as soon as the holiday season is over, there will be numerous announcement for quad core, 2GB RAM, Android 4 tablets. Of course unlike Samsung, others will not wait 4 months to ship their products.

AnonD-31664, 29 Nov 2011iPad 1 also have the speakers on the sides.. but it sound great when held! Hope this one does to.This one not good; too small holes on the edge for speakers. Reading in portrait will block them when lie down and rest the tab on the chest. In landscape just for one ear good.
all is working...sms...calss...3g...wifi all...like my sgs2 only bigger...

Major drawback i would say is the placement of stereo speakers.. they are at the bottom if held the tab in portrait mode.
stereo speakers are useful when u r watching videos or movie. And anybody will do that in landscape mode. They should have been placed on the longer side instead.
