Samsung Pay is expanding fast - both in supported territories and in features. The latest addition to the service helps you pay less - with the addition of loyalty and membership cards (US-only for now).
The feature is pretty simple - it shows a barcode on the screen and that the cashier can scan just like a regular barcode. This allows you to carry as many cards as you want - an average American family has 30 loyalty cards, which is impractical to lug around (so often you forget to take them and miss out on deals and savings).
Of course, once those savings are applied you can just use the phone to complete the transaction. It goes without saying this new feature works only on phones that support Samsung Pay.
Perhaps you don't understand how this works. Samsung isn't the hold up at this point, it's the banks in Canada willing to sign up and agree to the terms. So far only one group has done so (American Express). Visa and Master Card are waiting for more ...
This is great news. Another reason to be excited about Samsung pay.
Good to know, thank you!!
