Samsung posts teaser video for the Galaxy A56 and A36, hints at 6 OS updates

Samsung Android

Last week, Samsung launched the Galaxy A06 5G in India and now it seems that the country will be the host of two more launches: the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 (and possibly the A26, though we’re less certain about that one). The following teaser video was posted on YouTube and X:

A number of A-series phones are featured throughout the video, but none of them are the A36 or A56. This isn’t officially confirmed yet, of course, but leaks suggest that both models will be changing the design of the camera island.

Anyway, the video mentions how the A-series has over 89 million customers. Interestingly, it also lists 6 OS updates, but that wasn’t the case for last year’s A35 and A55, which only offered 4 OS updates. So, this seems to be an improvement for the 2025 generation and will put them one update short of the premium S and Z series.

Unfortunately, the teaser video doesn’t mention when the new A-series models will be unveiled. The @SamsungIndia X account is mum on the subject too. By the way, Samsung India will also be unveiling the Galaxy M16 and M06 5G soon, but “soon” is as much as we know about their launch date too.

We’ve heard plenty about the Galaxy A56 and A36. The higher end of the two will be powered by the Exynos 1580, the other by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Both will have 6.6” OLED displays and 5,000mAh batteries with 45W charging. We’ve seen support pages for the Galaxy A26, so that should be close to launch (and it is already certified by India’s BIS), but the focus will likely be on the other two as they are quite popular.

My guess is that you've never heard of the French company Nexa. From a converted SUV, they've demonstrated their ability to suck up all the data from smartphones in a shopping centre. Of course, this is the kind of technology that can end u...

Imho noone can exploit the data in those banking apps. Don't install shady apps and you don't need a single security patch, in my opinion.. this isn't a PC, where browsers are a disaster to maintain and protect

No, I have two banking applications, and other critical things like access to my cloud. And of course I haven't installed any games or crappy free apps like Shazam or Pinterest.
