Samsung R220 - user opinions and reviews

Got a samsung r220 which says "no network".Happened after I opened the thingie up and cleaned it with alchohol(methylated spirit).Help me out,cannot use it now.

This phone is really good.Something similar to a buisness class phone. But not at all preferable for teenagers. NOKIA beats this phones in all functions. Only 3 ringtones that can be saved.Pic. Msgs are not good either.No Operator logo. Even the Orange Alive does not work in this phone. The best thing about this cell is the Crystal Clear display of the screen & fonts.This is what distinguishes the handset from any NOKIA,MOTOROLA & PANASONIC.

I recently bought this phone but the rong tones do not impress me and I have looked for ring tones for samsung phones but to no avail could it be that am looking in the wrong places? If o could you refer me to where I could get the ringtones and show me how to manually input it. Thank you.

dear sir,your mobile set r220 is very good & beautifull.but there are some technical faults,which can be removed.i want give you better purpossal.1.your battery is very low & stand by +talk time is few.its stand by will be about 300 h .and talk time will be 7h.then you can beat the market.and sound will be very higher. so, i am regular usser samsung and iam fan of samsung.thanks. zubair ahmad pakistan

I have this phone A nice piece to have.Only porblem that i find is It snot audible in traffic .
Other features aer nice and its a sleek piece.Yes one more thing you can download at the most 3 ringtones that little bit irritating

is there cell information display in R220 because nokia mobile phones are displaying the area where you are.can i get that displayed in my Samsung R220 mobile.The service provider (HUTCH)giving the facility that the area name displyed in the screen. so can i get???

This phone is really nice and has a trendy look. Only problem is volume of the Ring tone and little slow user interface.
I am not able to set the weekly alaram on this phone. Is this a problem with set or some problem in my phone ? Can u help me ?
