I recently purchased the s5233A in Hotspot Bangalore, exchange for my old phone. The price I got it is 9.7k.
Here's my opinion on the phone.
1. Very sleek and stylish. I had a MotoRokr before this and found it far less in weight compared to ROKR.
2. Great features. Many features are not documented in the Manual as well. So you can keep exploring as you use it.
3. Touch Flo is decent and so is the touch sensitivity.
4. The screen width is good and allows for easy navigation.
5. The recognition of the tilt is fantastic. I think its called accelerometer or something but there's some amazing advantages. The photos scroll automatically as u tilt the phone in one direction. So, you don't need to keep pressing the next or prev button.
6. The Gesture control for the phone unlocking, speed dial and launching of applications is good.
7. Speaker volume and clarity is good.
8. There is slight lag when we tilt the phone to view the photos but thats acceptable since its java based.
9. Camera clarity is good. It think its better than the Cookie which I compared while purchasing this.
Pros : Touch Flo, Large Fonts for easy navigation, Tilt recognition, Speaker Volume
Cons : Lack of Stylus slot in handset.
All in all, a fantastic phone for the price with very rich features. I would definitely recommend.
Can I use a better headset ..... for this phone any option for that .....please help me.....
my friend has got the lg cookie and says its doing well but after reading your comments i felt this is a lot better and i went to a showroom and they say its 10.3k and im in india so plz guide me :)

there is one annoying thing about this phone..
if you are to set a pic as a wallpaper, it must be edited to fit three screens (720x400 res).
cannot set 3 different wallpaper for three different screens, or can be if combined on your comp then transfer it to your fone...

Ive got the same choice: samsung s5230 vs cookie ...and vs LG Viewty.. still thinking about it.
is the 3.2MP camera an auto focus type or not....??? pls rply soon... as im confused over it to choose a good phone for me..
i was able to download games to my phone using .jar files. choose resolutions 240X320.. though this games are not for touchscreen fones, it does work with a virtual d-pad..
after downloading games in .jar format, use the program JADMAKER to create a jad file, then copy both .jar and .jad files to your fone using the pc studio.
then find the file in your fone and install...
not all games are recognized but most are...
you can also check youtube on the instructions on how to install games in samsung tocco, they are quite similar....
I had trouble choosing between the Lg cookie and the Samsung tocco lite(S5233 in India). Finally i decided to go with the tocco. In my opinion its far better looking than the cookie and has an amazing user interface. It beats the cookie hands down in terms of battery life. Other than that it has almost all the features that cookie offers and has a far better camera. It comes with a dongle stylus that is of no use as the phone is a treat to the hands. The QWERTY keypad is as small as the cookie's and can be used comfortably if u prefer the stylus. If u r comfortable using ur hands its of no use unless u have very small fingers. The screen clarity is brilliant. The music is amazingly clear. The photo contact feature is very nice but a bit slow but that is acceptable. The gesture unlock feature is superb. The accelerometer sensor is very nice and the widgets provide ease of access. On the whole i feel that this phone wins the tocco lite vs cookie battle and that i will never regret my choice:)Hope that this helps someone, who is in the same position i was a few days back, choose.Have a great tocco experience :)
