I have been using samsung phones since long time. Got this 1 as well. One of latest wonders. Its dual camera with led flash is really amazing. N the touch works wonderfully with Social networking apps n the music navigator. Good buy.
Ashwin, 21 Feb 2011Guys, i have been trying to buy a touchscreen phone below 15K, it must have 3G and Wifi and al... moreyou want many features for little cash look in the chinese phone direction but bear in mind if the phone starts loosing features after a while then you get what you paid for hi-tech crap in a box. a motorola, nokia or samsung phone with those features is gonna cost more than that so prepare to spend for a good phone.
i am using this handset from may 2010. this handset is awesome, the picture quality is very very good, and video is also quite good.and the looks are just mind blowing.
the flash is also amazing.
i want to share something for the people who are having problem with the zooming,
go to the settings in camera and set the resolution to 2 mp, or 1.3 mp or 0.3 mp then the camera will zoom.
i have also used 5530 xpress music and 5233 and corby which fall in the same price range and the STAR 3G is above all.
they all are very far from STAR.
so if u are planning to buy any handxet in this pricerange , just go straight ahead to the SAMSUNG STAR 3G,,
I LOVE THIS HANDSET AND THANKS SAMSUNG/////
Guys, i have been trying to buy a touchscreen phone below 15K, it must have 3G and Wifi and also a good camera with flash and a videocall camera too. Please suggest me the best phone i can get. . .
hello friends! how to check the version of this phone and how to update it
It sucks. Here are my reasons.
1. The touchscreen is so bad. Typing messages is a nightmare.
2. The PC Suite is extremely lousy compared to Nokia's.
3. It can only hold about 100 odd messages. After which you have to delete to receive more.
4. It scrolls down long lists really slowly, so if you want to look at old messages, it will take a REALLY long time.
5. There's no way to remove words that you accidentally added into the T9 dictionary.
6. The controls when playing games are really lousy.
7. There's no way to lock the widgets on the screen, such that it is likely to shift them around unintentionally.
8. No earphone jack for normal earphones.
These are the ones I can think of offhand. I'm certain there are more.
more than one year i am happy for its performance and durability. the buttons and d pad gives excellent comfort to fingers. 3.1 mp camera is ever best for brilliant shots (much better than my nokia N86 (8MP)thanks samsung.)overall this is full featured cell, only one thing i miss that is less talktime.
hey, i just have a question, how do you zoom in while you`re taking a shot? i hav this phone over a year but i still havent figured it out.
Can anyone tell me what format does the phone support for games and software. because it is not supporting .Jar format.
Also tell me how to stop repeated incomming SMS alert.
Guys i have a problem i am not able to play youtube video .when i tap on video to play it opens the video player it shows ‘conecting ’ but dot which below conecting dosent moves what should i do Plese help
the camera of this phone is very very good. the flash is awesome and the streaming function of this phone is too fast for all video formats. i m using this phone since one year and its overall performance is very very very good and i recommend to buy it.
