In commercial release there is no visual TM implemented. When in java app you press right button there is selection "close/hide-to-background/cancel". When hidden, app can be recalled via menu where you have launched it from. There should be pause sign in from of minimized apps. Just like in 5230 and others.

Thankx for the specific inputs. So just curious to know how different it will be if we have a task manager? I mean with out task manager also, you mentioned that application can be minimized?
Thankx in advance,
Commercial unit does not have task manager! It was an advertising feature in pre-production units. But still it is possible to minimize java app, it will pause though, gprs connection will be lost.
Qwerty touch keyboard is missing by no reason at all! The only explanation - samsung does not want Monte to be competitor for coming bada line. Qwerty is intentionally cut. And the fact it is so - makes me mad on samsung.
All other aspects are very good. Phone is really nice.
sanjay, 12 Apr 2010what is the price of this phone in india which is the best 3mp camera phone currently The best 3mp phone is samsung m7600 beat dj and if you cannot afford that then you should get samsung s5200 which has also a flash and lens protector.
Phone is WiFi and site says so.
I guess solution to qwerty is to install 3rd party apps that enables landscape qwerty for SMS, Notes, browsing...
This phone has WI-FI? Beacuse the page of SAMSUNG says not has WI-FI
Hi...just got this phone y'day. It is an excellent phone with many good features. The finish and look is amazing. Its very user-friendly and the screen is superb. Music quality and radio recording is class. I want to thank gsmarena and all you nice people out there for helping me make the right choice. The sad part is the lack of qwerty keyboard and inconvenient messaging. I hope the smart guys from Samsung are reading this and will do something about it. All in all, a great phone at a great price.
Can you pl clarify following queries
1.DOes this phone gives the soft QWERTY in land scapemode for SMS/EMAIL?
2.Does this phone allows USB charging through phone.
3.DOes this have the capability to have the multitasking?
Thankx in advance,
what is the price of this phone in india
which is the best 3mp camera phone currently
I bought this phone here in the Philippines. There's no task manager. I can't launch it and there's no task manager in the manual.
Pls help me, how to have the task manager thanks :)
Hey does anyone know how to use other application while one is on the call?? Please help
I bought it in Indonesia and the middle button does not bring up the task manager for me either. The only time it is coming when it runs out of resources and some app should be shut down to free up resources. But even at that time it does not really work as it is not possible to end particular apps, only the end all apps "button" works.
It seems the commercial model has less features than the pre-comm tested here...
