Traded in my Tocco Ultra in the process and don't regret it for one minute. By far this is a better handset than the Tocco Ultra, just a bit shorter on the MP side of things with the camera, but I can deal with that.

Hi there! Had this phone for 2 weeks now. It is no PDA! Great step forward from my Nokia 6234, but still just a phone. I have learned that touch screen is a different experience and takes some getting used to. I miss hardware keys when I'm driving or a remote for the player when I'm biking. The screen is in deed very responsive and resonably usable even under sun light. The gesture control could make up for the hardware keys, but is frustrating at times - often it pauses the music due to road vibrations while I drive. Batery life is ok if I use it more as a phone and less as a killing time machine with thirsty apps like web browser and gps/maps. Updating the firmware was a bit of a thriller: I got an error in the middle of the process and my brand new phone was a vege for a few minutes. I red extensively about how to do it thow and I got it back into shape by repeating the process (following the Darkforestgroup tutorial + forum). Well worth it, especially since it was a S8003. I wanted a touch screen Nokia, but IMO thay do not have a decent product at the mo. They did not deserve my money. Good on Samsung for coming up with this new series. I am overall happy with my choice!
Hello guys, i need your urgent help, please i want to get factory setting on my S8003 & it needs a password & also i want to activate Mobile tracker & it requires password, i tried many combinations but it didnot work....any help plz?? does anyone know the default password??
Raman, 07 Sep 2009Good hardware but lackluster software you dont have the option to move the cursor (as in arro... moreI have never owned anything from Apple and I am not an iphone fan. BUT should the iphone be issued at a different smaller and more stylish design, includes the couple of missing features (i.e. bluetooth, better video) and be priced reasonably, I dont think Nokia, Samsung or LG will sell another phone ever.
S8000 IS NOT A SMARTPHONE. PERIOD. It cannot handle applications.
Which makes you wonder, why apple does not take these extra and easy few steps and destroy everyone for ever.
And they deserved to be destroyed if they are creating phones in 2009 that cannot download any applications (or their applications cost a mule and a barn). Instead of pushing evolution and revolution in mobile phones, these companies are just serving us up the same phones with slightly different designs and features.
