Good hardware but lackluster software you dont have the option to move the cursor (as in arrow key). its true, iphone became a great success totally on account of software and apps. Samsung jet fails miserably and i am regretting having bought this phone
Can somebody please help me in setting up my Yahoo mail on this phone? I was able to successfully load the Gmail settings but not the Yahoo mail settings. Thank you.

I myself dont know if there will be any 3rd party applications for this phone. Have seen an article that Samsung will allow 3rd party developers but no more information.
How can Samsung and everyone else with the exception of Apple get this Application thing so wrong. What is wrong with them? Why cant they understand how important applications are? How can they make a phone, call it smarter than a smartphone, call it the flagship and yet have no applications for it.
Can they realize that it is applications (and other features) that made the Iphone, a phone missing the most basic of features such as bluetooth, video, MMS, etc, the most talked about phone in the world.
Because the "experts" at Samsung do NOT know, is there anyone here who knows if there will ever be any applications (i.e. a dictionary or translator, or WorldAlmanac) for this phone?
Samsung can only say that they are developing applications for the phone. That tells me nothing. What, they will develop 5-10 applications and charge 100 bucks for each one when the Iphone has a billion applications for under a dollar?
The question is, does anyone KNOW, in the near forseable future, if there will be any applications FROM 3RD PARTIES, that will be downloadable to this phone?

Actually it has a (hardware) compass, but at the moment it's only accessible via the optional Navigation software (route 66)
And it has push mail as well (turn it on at messages/settings)
Yes, I also miss copy+paste, smart dialing with names, or flashlight function. I hope it will be included in an update. (there are some bugs waiting for repair as well)
If you miss 3rd party apps, you'd better buy an Omnia II for double price.
Or wait for further widget applications. The SDK was published recently:
At least, if you miss a function, don't hesitate to tell Samsung!
I'm planning to buy this phone within this week! Is it really good?!!! I am having a difficult decision about this phone and the pixon!!! which is better, samsung jet or samsung pixon? Help Me!!
No copy past functionality. no compass. no third party applications. no smart dialing with names. no push mail. no folder level password security. no hiding of files..yet they call it Smarter than Smart phone.. who are they kidding?

You can only do it by flashing it with firmware from Hong Kong or Taiwan. HK firmware supports "stoke" input for Traditional Chinese. It supports "pinyin" for Simplified Chinese. Both Tradition/Simplified Chinese supports handwriting input.
