I checked in a open place, but my jet is not detecting any satellite. I already use 6110 Navigator and it works perfectly well.Pretty confused why my jet is unable to detect any satellite..
try putting ur phone in open space and not in a room or building so that it can detect the satelite.
I have samsung s8003 and google maps has spoiled and i cant reinstall it again :s ... and when i go to GPS it tells me no satalite available and i downloaded another navigation application it tells me problem in connection with the setalite .. so what does that mean ?
....... does my phone have GPS or not ?! or is it locked so when i flash my device to s8000 .. will it work or not ?
Dado, 02 Aug 2009Is this phone have Gps? Because,on the other site write it doesnt..yes it has gps, just no preinstalled software for it
i personally think this is a great phone, i really like its looks, no ugly camera like pixon etc, the fact that it is very small/pocketfriendly but still manages to be a great phone with no real need for any application which is lucky as there are few to choice from.
i would certainly recommend
Guys, I have flashed my mobile from to S8000. Everything is working fine except the GPS. Its not detecting any satellite. Can some one help.

GreenSkull, 02 Aug 2009Guys, s8000 Jet or i900 Omnia? noting that I have Nokia 6630 for a long time and I am bored wi... moreDon't know much about the i900
though at a glance on the features, it seems better being a smart phone. The Jet is a good phone, but I would get bored of it very quickly as its very limited by not being a smart phone.
The best place to see hands on user reviews is on youtube, I'd recommend you go there to make up your mind. There's only so much you can envisage just from reading specs.... check out the youtube vids, it's usually how I decide which phone to buy
Guys, s8000 Jet or i900 Omnia? noting that I have Nokia 6630 for a long time and I am bored with it. I saw Jet is superfast thanks to 800MHz core but Omnia is a Windows mobile platform compared to Jet's Java platform which one you'd go for?
i am living in saudi arabia and only s8003 is available.

u hav 2 just buy da fone and put any network SIM card over here
i was impressed by the review pretty much of s8000 but should i go and buy s8003?

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2009I have this on Vodafone and there seem to be an awful lot of things that are missing or not workingGo to here: http://samsungflash.tk/
And follow this: http://darkforestgroup.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/SFW-Jet-S8000-Tutorial.pdf
That'll get rid of your Network rubbish, I want to do it eventually but I want to back my phone up first but NPS won't let me.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2009I have this on Vodafone and there seem to be an awful lot of things that are missing or not workingThe same with my one that came from orange. Network providers load their own software full of crap before sending out the handset. Its very annoying, not sure how to get round it, there are ways to debrand the phone back to factory setting which will have more widgets and apps pre-installed.
I've already returned mine back to orange in exchange of another phone. Disappointing
