Art, 19 Jun 2009What is the OS of this phone, is it WM?it has no OS,its samsung proprietary one!
Can anyone tell me if samsung can be updated like nokia mobiles via software update on your own pc?
Why so little hype for this excellent and very innovative phone? I just spent a while playing with one in a UK Vodafone store (thanks guys!) I almost bought it there and then. The Ket is a surprise and I am amazed at the lack of coverage in the press as it is more innovative than the iPhone and does more out of the box - despite lacking a proper OS. Here we go: a) VERY fast. (Twice as fast at least as the Tocco ULTRA.) b) Same stunning screen as ULTRA. c) Very clever gesture system for launching apps or performing commands using just once finger swipe when the phone is locked. IE, swipe 'M' to play music, or 'N' for fav number etc. d) Great sound quality from music player/radio. e) Has WiFi. f) 3.5mm jack that sounded great with my Philips £15 headset. g) Compact robust design. h) iPhone like draggable 'desktop' to reach the icons. i) Built in drawing application for painting pictures! j) VERY fast camera! Second you press the button, it is ready to shoot - and it shoots right away - same with the (almost) HD video. (720x480). k) A responsive and VERY quick to appear full QWERTY touch screen keyboard that pops up the second you rotate the phone. l) Several motion features, such as tap twice to change track, shake for random track (like new iPhone 3.0 software) and face down to silence ringing.
The two things I did not try were the web browser and (if it has it) and Google maps.
The Jet is a surprise and it's going to be a tough call between this (compact design is the key), the N97, LG Arena (also quite nice, but not as fast) and the iPhone 3GS. In a way, I think the Jet will harm the Samsung OMNIA HD, which while based on a real OS, is way too large for those whole like to slip their phone into a tight pocket when out on the town looking for da ladies...
..."Is that an OMNIA HD in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?"
Is this phone running Symbian OS? How much memory(RAM) does it have? Thank you
Samsung all the way!! unless you want the qwerty keyboard.. apart from that Samsung has much better specs and much more eye candy than N97
Ok.. I'm about to buy a new phone but need help!! I've narrowed it down to 2 phones! Nokia 97 (I've got the N95 8gb and has been the best far I've had to date) or the Samsung Jet (I've also got the Omnia and think it's great too!!). Please could you suggest which one you would choose out the two and why? Thank you all.

after using SE all this time, i was hoping SE was the first company to be able to create handset like this. This handset simply fullfill everything what i need in one handset, it doesn't necessarily be the top, but it has enough nice features. This is definitely gonna be my next phone ^___^ i love you samsung
Guys, is the screen as soft as SE M600 / SE P1i?? or feels like a Captive screen??
