Samsung Jet: A Smooth Escape.
I was never really a Samsung fan. Ever since I first held a mobile phone, it has always been a Nokia device. From 5110i, 3310, 6210, 6610i, 6100, 3650, N70, 6101, 5000 and other countless Nokia phone I used to owned, I had always great memories with each. But after a mere coincidence, I was struck by Jet at heart! I actually wanted to buy an Omnia i900 at first but when I did some research, I found that Samsung Jet simply possess the X factor that I have been searching for quite a while. Instantly, I feel in love with the phone. I watched videos about it on Youtube, read some blogs about its features and so many more. After each and every detail, my interest just became stronger and stronger and so without any fuss, I bought the phone last May, 2010 though it was still pricey at P17,790.00 here in the Philippines. The moment I got hold of the device, I was startled with the very brilliant display! I just love the bright yellow color of the sunflower on the homescreen! I scrolled to the different features and I am very much pleased that everything I needed is already power-packed into the phone -- WiFi, Bluetooth, a very nice calendar, great music player, DivX/Xvid video player, and a sossy media browser! Plus, the widgets! I just love them! I can access facebook anytime and when I check my status online, it says, via Facebook for Samsung Mobile.. pretty cool indeed! It's been 3 weeks now and I have no complaints about the phone whatsoever! When I listen to my music, I usually use the headphones and take note, it has actually 5.1 Dolby Surround Channel.. same feeling when you're inside a cinema house! LOL! The battery life though is not that long.. maybe because I kept using it by texting all my fiends. The charging time takes about 2.5 hours and standby time is about 4 days maximum based on personal experience. Overall, I have no regrets in buying the phone. Hopefully, I won't encounter any thing soon. hehehe!
To those who still have doubts, then it's up to you but to me as a Jet user, I rate it 9.99 out of 10! :)
After my s8000 has been upgraded to s8003 by I-Cell company when it got spoilt i havent been able to install any softwares downloaded to the phone(like Bible, dictionary etc). it always says 'file unsupported' What can i do pls?
Sbdevilmind, 19 Jun 2010Oh so you are a mobile salesman. Regarding battery life i would like to ask all you guys somet... moreWell, of course the more stuff a mobile can do, the more battery it'll eat up... :) The thing I'd like to know is if Jet's battery lasts for 2 days, 1 day, or half a day... :P I've seen smartphones with battery for 3 days, and multimedia phones that last for the same 3 days, so... :)
I have a feedback.
If we can download and install various softwares in Sasmsung Jet then it would be a better phone.
We have this facility in Nokia phones.
Anonymous, 17 Jun 2010hi guys......
I got one question. In desktop we can format and change the OS.. Like wise s... moreHey buddy, we can not change the operating systen in the mobile phones, however, we can upgrade the windows to the higher version.
This is what I know.
vash, 19 Jun 2010I agree with you dude... i don't understand why other people always look for the feature from ... morehahaha. that is also what i want to say dude... ^_^
people if you want to play games many apps. and etc. i think ur not looking for a mobilphone ur looking for a computer or laptop, or buy netbook if you want a handy one. ^_^
I reall wanted to buy this phone, but i hv a question about it...
Can it read japanese and korean text?
vash, 19 Jun 2010I agree with you dude... i don't understand why other people always look for the feature from ... moreI agree to you too dude. We must never forget that its a phone after all. But one should also know that unlike the days when a phone used to give some multimedia functionality, nowadays a multimedia device gives some phone functionality. So people nowadays don't decide to chose a mobile to just call, they chose one which provides the best in multimedia and software support in that price range and a little calling feature cause every mobile has calling features but not every mobile has got the best in multimedia and software. So when a person see something new in some other mobile which he or she haven't got, then they will always feel jealous. Its a human nature afterall. But in the end, ITS A PHONE.
Anonymous, 18 Jun 2010Lol In fact, I'm a bit of a geek (you know, I play Dungeons & Dragons and WoW, so...)..... moreOh so you are a mobile salesman. Regarding battery life i would like to ask all you guys something. Why is it that you want longer battery life when you can't. If you are really so concerned about battery then better not buy a mobile that is made to eat battery in matter of hours. This phone has got a huge screen and a fast processor. So it will eat battery or else it won't function. Don't you guys have a charger. When you don't use your mobile then just leave it plugged to the charger. Is it so hard. That won't kill your mobile, i can guarantee.
Sbdevilmind, 18 Jun 2010I like your enthusiasm, but unlike computers where all os supports almost all kinds of hardwar... moreI agree with you dude... i don't understand why other people always look for the feature from phone to other phone, compare to the other, while in the other brand...
i suggest, buy all the phone, with all the feature you want... coz you cant buy 1 single phone, with all special features ...
i only used my phone, for calling, texting, coz its a phone, with other features is bonus...
if you want gadget which is good for games, buy PSP,
camera, buy camera
gps? buy gps gadget
I need help. I want to buy this phone im very into it but i see a LOT of negative comments about the battery life. And can someone tell me what is the best site to buy from it.(can someone tell me if www.cells4u.com is good and safe site) Thanks in advance.
Sbdevilmind, 18 Jun 2010Nice. But i hope you ain't a geek. Cause you know it well, this ain't a smartphone.Lol
In fact, I'm a bit of a geek (you know, I play Dungeons & Dragons and WoW, so...)...
But I know it's not a smartphone... Tell you even more, I sell mobile phones in a store... :D
My only questions are always regarding battery life, we don't get the chance to use them for long, so...
