Not bothered about WIFI, have data package and had wifi on my last phone and never used it. What does bother me is the effect of using the internet has on the battery. A few mins browsing will loose a bar on the battery. It's crazy. Otherwise phone's ok. Texting is slow and awkward enough.
Anyone know how's the talktime or battery life for this model?
Rumors speculating tt battery runs out very fast when using camera often.
runmaker, 21 Apr 2009got this phone yesterday. like it so far, only criticism is that the music i put on my memory ... moreHow much was yours? It looks like the pricepoint, at least according to this page, is around €350... how much did you get yours for?
Does any body know if the all black colour version exists? On the pics the phone is shown in 3 colours (red, blue, black).
want this, 20 Apr 2009and what about camera in low light conditions is it laggy for taking pictures and recording videos? the camera is good in all scenarios as far as i can see, very impressed with it. the switch between camera mode and camcorder takes a while and vice versa but the camera has continuously impressed. the video in slow motion is bloody awesome. the phone is very good for imaging i would say.
have other issues with it but nothing that hasn't been mentioned before except for:
How in gods name do you get the thing to connect as a modem through pc studio!? it does everything in pc studio fine except for the internet connection part. i have gone over and over the settingsd (with T mobile and samsung) and it just does not work. not impressed as it was a key use for me.
cant wait for the Nokia N97 to be honest. Will be a downgrade in imaging but an acceptable one as will be open source os (samsung touchwiz is good if you dont eveer wanna put anything else on it or personalise the machine) and have a D pad, predictive text that doesn do what this thing does and change the character symbol you put post predictive word after cycling to an alternative!
And don't get me started on the battery.....
i'm due for an upgrade on t-mobile. i'm looking at 2 phones at the mintue which are the Samsung Tocco Ultra and the Nokia S800. Both phones are nice and offer loads of features but i'm struggling to make up my mind as to which one would be better. I've got a Samsung at the mo but have also had Nokias in the past and like both.
Please help ;0)
runmaker, 21 Apr 2009got this phone yesterday. like it so far, only criticism is that the music i put on my memory ... moreIf the information displayed about the music tracks is not correct(only squares) it means the tags of you Mp3 are not in standard language (chinese ?). Erase them or modify them with any tag editor.
got this phone yesterday. like it so far, only criticism is that the music i put on my memory card doesn't display information on media player (track, album, artist), just a bunch of squares. also noticed you can only send a maximum of 10 texts in one go, so unable to send a text to everyone in your contacts in one go. battery life seems average, but not poor.
touch screen is a little slow at times, just needs a firm press to confirm movement, nothing serious. i enjoy the camera, LED flash is fine, and the actually audio quality of music playback is far better than my old sony ericsson phone
John Oakley, 20 Apr 2009check out this slow motion i've taken on my tocco ultra! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hzj... moreand what about camera in low light conditions is it laggy for taking pictures and recording videos?

I think it's great video capture for indoors!
Dropped my nokia n95 8gb down the loo, so as voda said it's discontinued i got to choose any phone that they stocked instead. Wanted samsung i8510 at first but they don't do it :-( so it was between this one and SE C905 but although i know loads of people prefer SE i liked this one that little bit more. Will see how it goes when it comes tomorrow!
Riddhy, 18 Apr 2009Hello guys do you have any video recoding file from it? i want to see how it records video.i took this on my tocco ultra indoors
Check out my other videos as the slow motion ones are particularly impressive!
I think it's an ace phone and i've always had Nokias and Sony Ericssons etc.
