I was just wondering where you can get the widgets from?
I've not used Samsung for about 5 years now (I had the old e900).
What is the sound quality like for telephone calls, because I have a sony ericsson and it picks up any noise EXCEPT my voice.
And also do the new Samsung touchscreen phones have a widget that lists your appointments for the day, e.g. an active standby similar to Nokia's screen?
Hey guys, planning on purchasing... can i customize the menue and theme functions and message allert tones!?
On www.mobile-review.com he as a full review already about this mobile, but still no one competing with Samsung nowdays to release quality mobiles
Is this phone come with a stylus? Have the hand writting recognization function?
Anonymous, 11 Feb 2009the samsung s8300 will never beat the nokia n97I do not know why you have to compair phone to each other. The N97 will be full Touch Screen and is Smart phone but Samsung S8300 is more of simple phone like F480 with slide kepboard. I am planning to buy both phone.
It is like any touch screen phone come everyone like to compair with Iphone since Iphone is leader in that area.
Both N97 and S8300 suppose to come out next month.
Hey,multitasking! Customizable Widgets! Officeviewer! UI look modern n advanced than s40 or se a200! Too bad no wifi
Says released in march
Correct me if im wrong but do u have to slide open the phone to click a photo?
Anonymous, 11 Feb 2009the samsung s8300 will never beat the nokia n97Yeah, i am pretty sure that Nokia N series will follow xpreess music series. Loser.
I am prefer this Samsung or LG KM 900, and Nokia E series.
N 96 and 5800, is proof of failure.
This one also has the TouchWizz OS? Too bad. That means no available 3rd party software and no support for MS-exchange. Perhaps I'd still go for it, because of the combination of a great touchscreen AND the slide-out keypad. But the thought of manually putting recurring events from exchange to this phone makes me hesitate...
Anonymous, 10 Feb 2009This Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH is a great phone and a killer for nokia.the samsung s8300 will never beat the nokia n97
I like to have a phone always with Wi-Fi but this is nice looking phone. If you can or effort to have few phones then this is not bad and not important to carry seeral phones with Wi-Fi. But Wi-Fi is draw Back on this phone.
I think Battrey will be okay since screen is 256K and not 16M this would not draw too much battrey life.
This is stylist phone with high end feature, not smartphone.
With just 880mAh baterai to make this phone more slimmest, I think the lack of WiFi is acceptable.
There are many best selling phone on the market came without WiFi, like Nokia 6300, Samsung F480, LG Viewty, etc.
If u want WiFi, just buy Samsung i8910 Acme, SE C905, LG KC910 Renoir or Samsung i8510 Innov8.
For the successor of Samsung U900 Soul, Samsung S8300 are great and "highly recommended".
Which are the official colours of this handset?? Because i don't like the red one(i mean the colour of the keys and the back)?I really like this phone and i hope it will be also in black or silver!
OLED or not, the 880 mAh battery life is a real downer for such an awesome phone. It's a multimedia device too. You'll be going on the internet, you'll be listening to music and using that gorgeous touch screen a lot, it should definitely have at least a 1000 mAh battery. It's the difference between a whole day of intensive usage and charging it before you go to bed to leaving it on the charger during dinner. Who wants to worry about using features on your phone so you can conserve battery life?
