hey guys I just wanna see if any1 else is getting the same thing as me, in that the more i use the phone the longer the battery lasts, i think its probably due to the fact the more charge cycles it goes through the longer the battery life. Battery life is genrally very good giving you a 2day life with moderate use e.g 30mins talk 7ishtexts 1 hour music 20 mins internet + 1 you tube video per day
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2010Yes, but the sad fact is, you have to handle the freight in and out. Around 30 GBP one way, me... morebro did u get any sort of guarantee with the phone or not? secondly can you tell me your location i mean in which country are you? and h0w long did it take to deliver the phone to you from expansys?
sorry guys..actually for the double-tap function, go to settings>general>gestures..
i just bought this piece of mean machine yesterday at Sg Wang Plaza, KL for RM1699..with it i got 8gb micro sdhc card with preinstalled navigation tools (that i've yet to xplore),1 yr warranty & free another samsung h/phone (worth RM110)..initially the sales person offered a car charger but i told him that my car has a usb port, so i can use it to charge my phone, so he gave me the phone..
for my 1st review, i would like to touch on 2 things:
1)the double tap function - gsmarena told us that the double tap function is for opening smart search function..but actually it can open up a bunch of other apps too..u can change it in settings>touch (if i'm not mistaken)..so, i set it to open my music player & it did it seamlessly..so, for those who are groaning coz the wave didnt hv the music player widget, u can simply set it as a double tap function
2) changing the bottom 3 menu/icon - u can do so..go to menu, then click edit..u first hv to drag out the menu/icon from the bottom tray & place it on the menu, then only u can insert a new menu/icon..its as simple as that..
i've just recharged it for the 1st time..let's see how long will it take & i'll post other reviews/hands-on..to all wave users - enjoy it man..it rocks!..to those thinking of having it - stop thinking & just get it!..cheers..
Chris, 13 Jun 2010Does it have a 1 year warranty?Yes, but the sad fact is, you have to handle the freight in and out. Around 30 GBP one way, means 60 GBP. I got mine from expansys. Thanks God its working well.
I brought this phone from a online store for $35 plus $15 P&H.
The phone battery last 14 minutes and 23 seconds but the worst thing is this phone does not send text messages.
9.1 - 9.1 - 9.1 !!!!
Amazing votes for amazing phone!
I Love You Wave :*
narcolepsy, 13 Jun 2010Hi, If you are not happy with the specs listed for your country you can always buy over the in... moreThanks for the suggesion... I have a question though, does it come with warranty if its bought online? and is the site safe?
gsmarena has almost given this the audio quality of famous N91..well i never heard N91 but wave is the most dynamic detailed loud sounding mp3 player ive heard in 7 years
There is a country in asia with population 1.1 billion.samsung has to note this
Hi, If you are not happy with the specs listed for your country you can always buy over the internet. I'm in New Zealand and this phone will prob never reach here so I ordered mine from www.expansys.com/uk the day it came out. I have had the wave for about 2 weeks and are loving every minute of it. just a suggestion.
Monsoon hits Hyderabad (India). Wave not yet. Can anybody know, when Wave will be available in India. I am dying for it........
Burs, 12 Jun 2010Hi every1! It's my 1st post on GSMArena... :) I'm planning to buy this phone, but my biggest c... more You have OmniaHD, with NDrive, Ovi Maps, Garmin and Sygic installed ?? WOW, incredible. I know thats all possible as Th Omnia HD runs symbian.
How did you do all that ?? Please reply....
kancha, 13 Jun 2010it say's 1.5GB system storage, does that includes RAM or not bit confused? This is the most asked question by my mates too and the computer learners worldwide..In mobiles they put in a memory type chip that in the waves case is 2Gb,,of that is the ROM with all the o/s on is part of the 2Gb or often Z-drive..The rest leftover is user memory..Then there are some RAM chips of which wave has 512MB of which is what my old xp computer has so its a good amount for a smartfone and this memory is expensive but fast working and its were all the o/s and apps run in before going thru proccessor..
So up to now all your vids/photos/mp3 can only be stored on whats left of the 2GB chip which gsmarena says is 390 MB of what we call c-disk drive space....This is not much so to supplement this a memory card slot is added for you to put in your sdhc micros -sd card..The fone needs to be taught to recognise the amount of the sd card in which case of the wave is the maximun 32GB card..Many nokia fones via software upgrades let the user use bigger memory cards as the fone was taught to recognise these bigger cards..
wave has ,,
2GB of which 390 MB is for use by the owner,,
512MB of RAM which is good amount..
External slot for putting in your memory card of your choice, mine is 16GB at moment as the 32GB is expensive, but compared to 6 years ago is actually very cheap.
The 2GB chip represent a computers hard drive with a partition to distinguish between o/s and user memory..
