Let us know Samsung's reply.

If you compare... moreyep i've remember that someone bought a wave at greenhills sanjuan with no warranty, but the problem is we're not sure if that's the Philippine version. Maybe the store ordered it overseas.. But regarding the price, you have a point that it's closer to those in other countries, some countries are even cheaper, but, also consider that we have many kinds of tax here in the Phil..
I hate speculations (which i'm the one creating lol), i guess we'll just have to wait for it..

If the specifications are downgraded yet sold at the same price as that in europe, then it is a very different story. It is like Samsung is stealing from us... I hope those who claimed to have the Wave sold from here (V-Mall) tell us something bout external memory, AGPS and confim that their FW is DX (Southeast Asia).
Gog: read comments, especially review, there said that 16gb work very well, 32gb too and read wave present you see real specifications

In euro, it's around Php 21,200.00
In pounds, its around Php 22,000.00
and in dollars, around Php 26,000.00.
I'm off to bed now. :-)
Samsung wanted to establish a wide user-base of their new BADA OS platform as quickly as possbile. One way to achieve that is to offer a phone at a very attractive price. How to make it attractive, scrimp on cost. If the S8500 Philippine version specs are true, we're a good example of that.
Good night everyone.

Chris, 13 Jun 2010so i guess Samsung Phil needs to revise their site infos.. also, it's not good in production t... moreOn the contrary. Companies will try to produce products at the minimum cost possible without compromising the quality. At what minimum cost is a big question. As the case with Samsung S8500 Phil version, removing the AGPS is logical since majority of Pinoys don't use that feature anyway (I for one). How much features Samsung changed/removed, I really don't know. If the specs posted on Samsung Phils website are true, obviously a lot has been changed/removed. And that's unfair.
I no longer like this phone after I saw the spec for Philippine version... I'm currently using iPhone 32gig and willing to replace it with wave but based on what I discovered, nah, iPhone is still the best phone for me... What are they tring to imply when they released wave with different spec in each country?... Its supposed to be my first samsung phone but I think it will no longer happen..........

is it possible that Samsung are making different hardware versions of wave per country? Or they just edit the FW to limit hardware resources like, CPU, RAM, memory, GPS?
