If the resolution is too high it will not play otherwise it will play in your device. Wave S8500 supports most popular formats like AVI, MKV, WMV, 3GP, MP4, Xvid, DivX..etc. Make sure to register your phone with Divx to play Divx videos
Some cool features are not shown which stand up on comparing with something like Samsung Jet S8000.
Display is oleophobic which means smudge-free.
Primary camera supports slo-mo video recording.
Seconday camera is a videocall camera.
Additional features dont show fake-calls - not generally useful but cool at times :-)
On the minus side, the 2GB internal memory is not all RAM.

elnano25, 17 May 2011Guys stop voting this device, it´s dead technology. The Bada OS has no future.Who cares? I want to use Bada on this phone right now, not on another device in the future, and this OS is working, and it's not going to die tonight, or in the next morning, so it was an unnecessary comment what You wrote here my friend. :)
we vote for wave hardware, not bada OS. wave hardware is superb....for the lower price

elnano25, 17 May 2011Guys stop voting this device, it´s dead technology. The Bada OS has no future.Dead technology? Bada? An operating system that was introduced last year and has so few drawbacks, not to mention that it's backed up by a company with vast resources and expertise? My friend, only time will tell whether Bada survives or not and if Samsung continues to support it, you will be seeing it for many years. Now as to why Wave is constantly in GSMArena's top ranks, let me give you some facts:
For about 270€(current retail price in Athens, Greece) you buy a top quality phone with a brilliant 3.3 inch screen, a Hummingbird SoC (probably last year's best), a goog 5MP camera with full features AND flash, a very good HD recorder, an excellent music player, and a rock-solid, lightning-fast OS which treats the battery gently by the way. You get 2 days with moderate to heavy usage and FOUR days with light usage even if the phone stays on 24/7. Now give me a phone that beats Wave in ALL the above-mentioned aspects...I'm afraid there is NONE for now.
You should get yourself one mate, you won't regret it unless you are a die-hard fanatic.
